Where do you see Alex Facundo going? Iowa might want to try to snatch him. Iowa State to connect with Metcalf and  Carr. Okie State? Back home to Michigan?

If Facundo finally enters the portal, what weight will he go?  That should help narrow down his list. I’d be shocked if he tries 57 again.  I don’t think he fits at Michigan if he goes 65/74 due to the Montononas. And yes I’m sure the spelling is wrong lol.

The rumblings right now are that Garvin is headed to Michigan to man 174 for Michigan, FWIW.

Interesting.  I assume either he can’t beat Castillo or doesn’t want to make 125 anymore.  Although I believe Dresser helped him out a lot considering I think he was arrested multiple times

That's what good coaches do. They care about their wrestlers and help them get on the right track.

Illinois a better school than Wisconsin? That’s debatable.

Maybe on the academic front, but let's not kid ourselves about who has the better wrestling program right now.

I would doubt we see 57 as well.  I would guess he comes back at 65 but we shall see.

Not according to US News & World report who does the rankings. UIUC is #33 and UW is #39. The only thing better up north is cheese curds, Spotted Cow, and daily caloric intake.

Illinois wrestling is rising while Boner is sinking UW. Two years ago Illinois had two world team members. This year Byrd is the #1 seed. Wisconsin's biggest claim to fame is not letting Burwick transfer.

Talking purely academics. Obviously Illinois is in a better spot wrestling wise at the moment.

I could see Lucas Cochran of Penn State following the Barraclaugh route back to Utah Valley

I was thinking the same thing,  he was recognized at senior night,

Once someone earns a degree at a school - giving them four years in the room.  I think it's fair for them to seek opportunities elsewhere without being called a mercenary.  (not saying you called him that of course, I was just preemptively making the distinction for those who may be more cynical)

Michigan definitely needs a 149 pounder Gilcher isn't it.. come home Casey.. I'd love to see Alex come but Beau and Brock have 65 and 74 locked up for the next three four years

What's going on at Iowa State I could have sworns with Swiderski and Metcalf had a bond like brothers and he was super happy being trained by Metcalf

Kind of a log jam with Swiderski, Johnson, and Chittum.  Plus, I could see one or more of the Frost bros needing to move up.

couple rumors around a few places suggesting Facundo to Rutgers as a possibility.

For Steen, I think Lock Haven would be a good fit.

God, please no.

As much of a nuthugger as I am with Facundo, I do not want to hug the same nuts as Minnow at the same time.

I enjoy Rutgers and their tenacity.  I don't want to be swordmaster bros with Minnow, though. 😂
