Cole wrestled 97 KG last MFS season did he not?  Being 6lbs heavier than that is not that impressive.  Said he wants to be 235-240 before next season?

Did he have a botched drop to 97 KG?

Interested a lot by this one.  He seemed pretty content with how his career played out after AA'ing.  Wondering if he can realistically keep the momentum up to repeat with age and weight cut issues lingering.

Yeah. I don't see how he has any eligibility left. Hopefully he doesn't try to transfer to Little Rock, they have a pretty shoddy rep now about checking their kid's eligibility.

I thought Sammy would be, at least, a two time All American. In fact I thought he'd probably be a 3 timer after his very good FR campaign. What happened to him? Did he have injury issues that held him back or something?

Seems like for a little while there he was in the wrong weight class (133).  He looked like a zombie after his cut to 133.  I remember him getting ragdolled by a few lower caliber wrestlers who had no business beating him - because it wasn't the right weight for him.  The way he left Rutgers and went to a place in OK State that didn't have a guaranteed starting spot for him.  Lost some opportunity there and finally got it right at Rider this past year.

That would be the same as the Tyler Brennan argument because 2021 was a free year for everyone.  If you get hurt that year you don't get another year.

The rule reads that the injury occurs before the start of the second half of the season, which is the 10th date for wrestling, AND the injury occurs when the athlete has not participated in more than 30% of eligible dates, which in wrestling is defined as six. 

He is fine on the number of competition dates (four) but his last competition date was the eleventh for the team, so he participated in the second half of the season.

Given that, I am not sure how he gets another year for 2024.

I believe that is where he originally committed. Sorry to see him leave Mizzou. He had some good wins this year over former national qualifiers Maximillian Leete and Tyler Ferrera.
