I’m gonna speculate that once the smoke clears, Robie and Co will be glad TJ is gone. Probably a great kid but daddy Stew is not doing him any favors

Might find out how happy we'll be soon... Ethan Just tweeted out a commit signal about a half hour ago. Hopefully it's next years 184

I heard rumors a while back that he wants to come back to Nebby and take over Lovett's spot...

Same...that's going to be a weird situation....

Not sure what the play here is Wells to be honest. Maybe he goes D2 to St Cloud where he originally committed to. He proved he can’t make 133 effectively so it has to be 141. If he wants to wrestle next year it won’t be B1G.

I have gone on record for weeks now that TJ was leaving.  Dad enjoyed toying with us and has really been exposed as a fraud and liar.  Hopefully, the kid experiences moderate success in Raleigh.

He must not want to use his redshirt? interesting move imo

People forget he was originally committed to d2 St. Cloud State before flipping to the Gophers.  I say yes to your question. IMO it seems like he wants to be done in four years wherever he ends up.

Interesting... I have heard Nebraska or Illinois. Maybe he is heading back home.

I guess it depends if he wants to hold 149 or move back up to 157

My understanding was 149 was a i year deal only...so Illinois makes more sense in that regard...but money will sometimes make you lose weight...I wish that was the way it worked in real life. Motivator!

Agreed. He did a minor version of his public stunt right after his AA year except without entering the portal. I assume TJ secured something to stay at VT but no clue. Honestly, TJ should have entered the portal then. I doubt his appeal is too high now with a lackluster performance this past season. His dad left money on the table for TJ until and if he ever returns his freshman year level

Roster spot for Tyler was a big part of TJ not entering last year

That’s interesting. I don’t blame his dad for trying to secure what he can for his sons but man, he seems to be hurting them with his toxic behavior.

What are some landing spots for Wells other than St Cloud? I personally wanna see him go 149 and beat out Roberts. NDSU? SDSU?

Somewhere outside the Big10, where guys shut down his offense pretty easily it seemed.  He needs to free up his offense and let the fur fly. He is an offensive dynamo when he isn't worried about defensive reattacks.
