Peterson brothers.  Nate Carr. Jim Gruenwald.  Eric Voelker.  Some Olympic medalists on there.  Most have become preachers/ministers/pastors.

I bet they couldn't beat the All Allah (or Mohammed) Team when you include Dagestan and Iran.

I'm personally rooting for the All Atheist, Agnostic or Buddhist Teams ... though they aren't as noisy and vocal about their views as the rah rah religious wrestlers.

The All Allah/Mohammed team would be insanely stacked. I think they probably dominate this hypothetical dual.

If I'm picking an all time fantasy team I'm taking all the zealots.  My atheist, agnostic, and buddhist buddies are rational enough to understand why

I Don't Agree With What I Posted

I wish I could remember who it was, but they wrestled seniors like 25 years ago and they had a blog about their wrestling stuff. Anyway they had an entry about losing to Ray Brinzer and there was a good solid paragraph about how Brinzer wasn't godly enough and he had some kind of dark cloud or something around him that didn't let the power of Jesus prevail against him or something. It was downright wacky. I really wish I could remember who it was.

Which carries more weight, their holiness / likelihood of going to heaven or their wrestling record.

Also, didn't realize David Carr beat Dieringer? Impressive

“Praise be to Jesus” is going to be a really popular phrase in the coming decade, you heard it here first.

#1 all jesus team is cael.  He’s the great helmsman who introduced the modern age of the best wrestlers to the positive impacts of religion on sports-psychology.

Tom Ryan also doesn’t get enough credit for being an early mover in the golden age of wrestling bible belt, which in my opinion just ended recently.

I think I've heard a lot of praise from maybe above 50% of the national champions immediate off mat interviews, so maybe some spirituality can increase your inner drive and keep some demons away. Not a bad thing!! If you can't beat'em; join'em

Causation and correlation and all that, you know.

the untimely passing of Saitiev made me think of Brandon Slay, who deserves mention for the all Jesus team.
