Any who could figure this out, maybe @Wrestleknownothing, I'd be interested.

Team A has a champ who wins straight decisions from the round of 32 onward.

Team B has ten AAs, all lost in the Round of 32 and won decisions until the consi quarters, and then lost out to 8th.

How does the scoring shake out?

After some work myself, it says the champ scores 21, and an 8th place wrestler would score 8, but it also says advancement in the good side is 1 point and that advancement in the consis is 1....I thought advancment in the consi's was .5?

A champ with no bonus scores 20, 16 placement points and 4 advancement points.

Eighth place is worth 3 placement points.

On the back side advancement points are 0.5 per match. To get to the eighth place match after losing the first requires 4 straight wins.

There are no advancement points in the final matches (1st, 3rd, 5, 7th).

So Team A has 20

Team B scores (3+ (4*0.5))*10 = 50

Clarification for. you guys Didn't want to start a new thread....second coaches ranking is tomorrow. In order to be in the ranking in the first one in January, you had to have 8 D1 matches at the weight and wrestle in the last 30 days. Does that 8 number increase this week or at the end of the season? I was thinking the end of season final rankings before at-large selection was 15 matches. I think you need 15 for the coaches ranking and the RPI for the total "tally" for the at-large bids at the NCAA - is that correct? Not to say you can't get in, but those are two of the criteria. Do I have that correct? The reason I ask is that , there are some guys who may need tourneys here at the end. Is Dresser busy?

There is nothing in there about changing the criteria from the first to the second set of coaches' rankings.

The 15 match requirement is for RPI.
