This might be my dumbest idea ever, but hear me out. 'Member when RBY started hiding his left arm when he wrestled DeSanto, taking away his near-arm, far-leg dump? This tactic essentially shut down all of Desanto's offense.

Is there a similar tactic that could mitigate  the number of Bassett's snap/go-behind tds? Sure, you'd still have to deal with pace, a dozen leg attacks, pace, scrambling, pace, etc. . . . but but but?

Guys, Bassett is wrestling HS kids and he should be moving into hisJunior year in  college. There is a reason his dad got suspended and he can’t wrestle at States.

... which ones, what about Mississippi or Louisiana?

How old is Bo Bassett?

This question is reserved for Greenwave only. I want to know how old a Junior in college is supposed to be. 🤨

Messenbrink and nolf both roll under clubs and shoot under the club not sure if that counts.

20 year old High schools Seniors going to be 21 in August is not the norm.

How old is a typical Junior in college wrestling, Mr. Green?

Wow. If he goes on missionary work for 2 years and comes back, takes and Olympic and RS, he can be a 25 year old Fr 😄

No doubt. I'm kinda Pico-ing the kid.

Speaking of, Pico had a wicked snap back in the day. Bassett and Pico would be a fun fantasy match.

Ironside has said that the best defense to hard snaps is constant forward pressure. I say downblock and counterattack. Shrugs, deadlifts, and neck flexions are also helpful.

When did Bassett start college? Because I don't think he has, so take this crap about some high school kid to the high school board, you weirdo.

Bet. I tried to make it clear that my post was more-or-less in jest, but my words failed me. Apologies.

Re forward pressure: Being lanky and slow, I'd be afraid of getting my head thrown through the mat.

Other than just staying disciplined and controlling/pushing off the collar tie wrist/hand while keeping my elbow glued to my side (like Spratley), I like the suggestion above of going with it and attacking below the knee, a la Nolf (inside step) or Vito (outside step).
