Yeah, I caught that, but it was 15 minutes too late.

Looks like they should be set for the next 40 years.  🙄

Just imagine if the American voter spent less time B**ching about term limits and spent more time educating themselves and participating in the electoral process during the primaries.  Such an easy fix to combat a term limit amendment that will never pass

Jim Wright held this seat for 35 years and still managed to retire at 67.

Weaker parties need richer, and therefore older, candidates/office holders.

Time and observing things over said time has proven this hasn’t and will not happen.   All the while they stay in office for prolonged periods of time…. Become more corrupt rich etc.

insider trading is prolly the worst thing/offense they can commit yet no one seems to care.  They “can” make policy decisions off of their trades….   Or based on their trades.   Where is the outrage there.   There should be far more imo.

It still is our fault because we have an extremely easy remedy for this.  At the end of the day the only ones that deserve to have the finger pointed at them are the voters that continue to vote these politicians in.

Fair.  But you and I both know it will not change.  Humans are to lazy as a whole.

standing by not doing anything about the corrupt is what’s wrong.  Why would they vote for no insider trading?   They won’t because they’re all making bank off of it.  Why would they prosecute one another for what they are doing illegally.  They won’t as when their party isn’t in power they’re next.  They’re all in it together….. all while they squander our tax money….. and just tax tax tax us slowly to death.

We think they care about their constituents.  They don’t.   Maybe one here and one there does but as a whole they’re corrupt to the bone.

We're addressing two different problems.  I'm pointing out that there is an actual solution to this.  The Voters

Cool cool.   I guess it will get solved.    Or not.   Who knows.

Just reread what I posted and apologies that I worded it incorrectly.  Addressing the same problem with two different perspectives.  If we agree the government is bad at self policing itself than our only option to combat it is with our voting power.  Will it get solved in the near term?  Probably not but I would still put the blame on the voters.

Maybe I’m predicting the future.

The American voter on average will not educate themselves.  It won’t happen. Too lazy.  Too complacent.

the politicians are too corrupt on average to self police.
A good politician here or there for sure.  But way too many corrupt ones.

without a self policing government.  Or a truly educated populace.

nothing will change.    We will keep playing finger pointing identity politics until the system collapses on itself.

who historically held these beliefs below?

He claims that democracy is a danger due to excessive freedom. He also argues that, in a system in which everyone has a right to rule, all sorts of selfish people who care nothing for the people but are only motivated by their own personal desires are able to attain power.

They would self police better if the media held them accountable.   Our 4th estate is an abysmal failure.

But they are still wondering if they went too easy on Biden for the last 4 years or not with regard to his cognition.  That's really holding pols and themselves accountable.

Ha.   Not arguing with you.  The media won’t self regulate.  It’s a big huge arm of the Democratic Party machine.
