The four remaining schools that field a wrestling team as the "PAC 12", as I understand it, have until July 1st of 2026 to add two more wrestling programs to remaining a wrestling conference.   Previously it was thought that the "plan" was to try to add Wyoming and Air Force (both Mountain West schools for most sports and Big 12 schools for wrestling).   Yet the under-handed fiasco that the PAC 12 began this fall to try to get themselves out of the contract that they willingly and freely signed last year with the Mountain West has ended that plan in it's tracks.

Yet the need for two more wrestling programs still remains for the PAC 12.   And the clock is ticking.   Question is does the PAC 12 have any plan at all on how to resolve this problem?   Or are they just planning on abandoning wrestling?

1. You won't see my message because you block everyone and call them "dolts"

2. You are an ASU fan, get off my lawn!

3. You called for Bakersfield to drop their program....well, well, well....look where we are now.

4. You signed off last year saying you were "glad the Pac-12 folded" , so why do you care.

5. The Pac 12 coaches just met... No it's not the end of the Pac 12  and no they are not going to be an affiliates.

The schools with teams care but the PAC12 doesn't. Pretty apparent they are doing nothing.

LOL... I guess you missed the part of the plan where they added 4 schools last month and added Gonzaga for Basketball.  You may have also missed the part that the BSU AD came out and said that they would like to add baseball and wrestling back. But maybe those things aren't part of the plan.

Had he not blocked so many toons, he wouldn't have needed to start this thread.

Alas, he is a WestCoastDanTheMan and irrelevant, so he must feel relevant.

I've been impressed with Gould in the short time that she's been commissioner. I hope she pushes for Olympic sports, it's not a terrible idea for the Pac to diversify its portfolio of sports, esp since football and m/w basketball won't be at the level of the old Pac-12.

I agree... Gould has done a good job navigating all of this. They have been able to get 4 decent schools to sign on and add Gonzaga for basketball so things have at least made some progress. Of course, doing all this at the same time as the major lawsuit, NIL and transfer portal open borders adds to the difficulty. On the wrestling side,  conversations are happening ...
