Will someone at NOAA please arrange for a lightning strike on this Dog the Bounty Hunter tribute act?

Here is a good one from the way back machine.

D-GA Hank Johnson thought Guam could tip over and capsize from the marines that were stationed on the island.

People elect a lot of idiots.

Isn't the who climateer religion about doing raindances to control the weather?  WIndmills, dream catchers, electric golf carts bulked up to be grocery getters, no straws, no bags, eat bugs.  All of that is to control the weather, right?

It will be as effective as raindances and human sacrifices were in pleasing the gods and controlling the weather.

What is the point of this thread?  Are you for or against controlling the weather?

We have that tax here in WA, and it is up for deletion via initiative.   The carbon tax adds 50 cents to a gallon of gas, which is why we have the next to highest gas prices i tnhe nation.  The money collected does not go to roads but to special interest groups, that may or may not do anything about CO2 in the atmosphere.  Not only that, but they do not monitor how well the law is doing at reducing CO2.   It's almost as if it were a giant money grab with  no real concern about CO2 levels at all.

I think you've stumbled on to something important here . . . let me think about this . . .  Hmmm, people with no particular skills other than yapping their mouths demanding money from everyone and then giving it to their friends who also have no particular skills who take the money and do no particular thing with it - other than keep it for themselves and their friends.   You forgot about the part where they simultaneously declare victory and failure.  The tax has been a tremendous victory but ultimately failed because it was not high enough therefore, once you've ceded the authority to these people to tax and regulate you they feel they can just keep doing it with not a shred of evidence of effectiveness.

Hence, climate hoax.  Oh, and eat more bugs.

That's why we have an initiative on the Nov ballot to rescind the carbon tax.   It is a tax on gas, diesel, natural gas, electricity made from natural gas, food harvested and planted with machines that run on diesel, food trucked in by trucks running on diesel, the list goes on and on.

The oil companies must bid on credits and then pass along the cost to the rate payer, me!!   The natural gas is the same.   The government lied and said it would be nothing, mere pennies.   yeah, up to 50 pennies.

Redundant statement.  No matter who is in power.

That is why our Constitution restricts power and keeps it away from the central executive.  Yet our legislatures and courts abdicate their responsibilities and allow the executive branch to do pretty much whatever it can get away with.
