in retrospect i'm mad I didn't pick downey, he'll probably run into zahid a few times the night before the tournament.

Zahid is the reigning bronze medalist and was virtually even with Brooks at OTTs. He’s the underdog versus DT, but he’s very capable of beating him.

It is hilarious to me that as many people give PD3 a chance as Zahid at winning the entire thing.

It's even more hilarious to me that PD3 might very well face Taylor in the 2nd round as the 8th seed (if Mirasola is seeded above him).

So there are as many people giving him a chance to beat DT, then the next two matches, then Zahid in a best of three than Zahid beating anyone else in the best of three.

That is how big a favorite that DT is to 'the people' on here.  It is folly to consider anyone else a potential victor.
