Seems like more than insinuating to me.  Just not sure if it means NCAA or not

A poster asks him outright if he will be back with the Buckeyes nesxt season and Sasso responded "100%"

The big question is which wt would he wrestle?

57. With D'emilio being out next year Mendez will probably go up. Bouzakis at 41 and Davino at 33 would be my guess. If Sammy doesnt end up being able to compete there's like 7 kids ready to compete for that opening spot

I don't think Bouzakis has the frame for 141lbs.

Oh?

Pray tell?

Next as in 2024-25?

Is he swapping with D'Emilio?

D'emilio is hurt and likely wont be wrestling next season.

Isn't 24-25 this season? Or is this just semantics?

Rooting for the kid, regardless of his performance on the mat.  Being able to step back on after what he's gone through is an achievement in of itself.

A lot of interesting conjecture in this thread about who's competing at which wt classes as well as some injury statuses.

As long as we're talking Buckeyes, I can't be the only one who's considered how perfectly AJ Ferrari would slip in at 197?

Any chance the Bucks even give him a call?  Or is there literally no way in hades?

The tosu boards seem to think its a possibility.

As a former bucks fan, and now newly again bucks fan, i certainly hope they're wrong.

I'm not one to say recruiting a guy shows a character flaw because that's simply not true. That being said I cannot see Tom Ryan recruiting AJ and he seems very loyal to his guys, so I also do not see him throwing Geog aside.

I agree. I think its a statement of the coaches character for where he goes. Are they willing to sell their soul for a national championship. Thats what it boils down to.

I don't think Tom Ryan is that guy.

They are alleged to have reached out to Cardenas.  That would have been throwing Geog aside as well.

I can't see it either. It would be a huge shift in how he has operated since he started coaching.

IIRC, didn’t Ryan acknowledge this in a Flo interview?

I mean... Geog has shown that he isn't near the same tier as Cardenas for two straight years.

I hope Geog takes that next step.  He still lacks the size of a true 197lber.
