how do you think deshazer would have done at the d1 level given his ability to beat high end d1 guys in freestyle, or do you think hes just better at free and developed later.

I would say not so good, honestly.  He had a lot of losses to fringe NQ gents.

He did wrestle Brewer tough, though, I guess.

https://www.wrestlestat.com/wrestler/21395/deshazer-daniel/profile

His style definitely lends itself towards MFS, but he has also been grinding it for ~10 years now and was just now climbing our ladder to the Top 5-ish.

Unfortunately I think that has a lot to do with a lot of gents not showing up this or last year at 61 KG.  Also, he had a couple/few losses to high school kids this year didn't he?

yes I think he split with Lilledahl and lost to forrest but he beat cruz who beat Richards so transitive property he could've been a 2023 world team member lol.

@flyingcementhows that list looking right now?

for you or for anyone else who wants - I am happy to send the list at any point.  I don't do it too regularly because its a large block of space that makes the thread a little less usable in some cases.  I'll post an update shortly since you asked.

Hate this kind of tweet. Say the words. Or don't tweet. Don't give me this coy, shy, cutsey shit.

Maybe he's simply saying there's an announcement coming giving all time to place their bets.  My money is on Mesenbrink.  🤠

But how would that work?  Since the portal is closed, would Mesenbrink need Cael to sign off?  Would Mesenbrink need to take a year off?

Doesnt matter, the NCAA has no power, they lost it when refused to enforce the rules.  Transfer anywhere anytime you want.  If any try to stop you just sue the NCAA.  Also sue your NIL donors  if you think were holding back and could've paid you more.  🧑‍⚖️

I get it. You are a cowboy fan. Have to back your guys. But if they want to keep tweeting like this they should start riding sidesaddle.

Thats a plan but you don't have to go all Brokeback Mountain on us ... not that anythings wrong with that.

He would definitely help solidify their middle weights but they have a ways to go to be top 10 yet. Flo has OK State at 10 (prior to the Hendrickson addition), Mizzou 11, NC State 12, SDSU 13, Lehigh 14

Idk if they got Powe they would have an outside shot of qualifying the whole lineup. Especially with the additions of delsignore and Jones.

Eh, ASU has actually been pretty weak when it’s come to additions through the portal since ‘21. Who have they gotten since Parco? Negron? McLane?

McGee. Montalvo. They have used it to fill holes well. They don’t have team trophies without the portal guys collectively.

Yes but only 2 guys currently that would be likely AA - Bailey and Little.

Josh Barr is R12-ish right now - if I had to project.  I am very high on him, though, and hope he pulls a high AA out of this year's campaign.

Where is Mesenbrink in this?

In any case, of those four for PSU I think only one ends up being on the back side.

For OSU there would be three, potentially four on the backside.  That means OSU will win it based on having more guys.

Probably better suited for the OSU lineup thread and not the portal, but since we are here,  you have 3 finalists for PSU wrestling in the back half, who most likely won't be wrestling there. You have more guys for OK State who wrestle on the back half, who will score more on the backside because of sheer numbers. But when you have that many points scored by PSU on the front side, does it matter?
