Not sure if he gets paid specifically, but pretty sure they’re the “official mat of the Big Ten” or something.  There was one match where he mentioned the name of his contact that worked there.

Has Sparks ever been to Northumberland PA? I used to drive by their location all the time when I was younger. I can remember wrestling in the Resilite tournament as well.

Every time he says that, I find myself wondering if the match is actually taking place on a Resilite mat? I find his use of the brand (as a word) to be analogous to Xerox, Jell-O, Band-Aid, Post-It, and Kleenex..

If true, that infers Resilite is the brand used for the B1G championships.  It does not necessarily mean each of the member schools use Resilite mats.

Michigan may be a Resilite school...

Wisconsin is a Dollamur school...

Sports writers and broadcasters still frequently use the word Astroturf instead of artificial turf

I think that’s because or the Astrodome. I don’t think the Houston Astros are the supplier of artificial turf. Maybe I’m wrong though.
