Hawks #9 loses 1-0 to #10 Bachman of ISU. Hawks choose neutral in the third, which is both curious and questionable and couldn’t score a TD.

Is this Hawks last year of eligibility?

True freshmen teammates at Minny, Vombaur and Jamison both knock off top guys.

Van ness loses to Webster who Van ness majored a few weeks ago. Odd.

Webster looks to me like a guy with a really big cut that was struggling with weight mid season. He’s looking great now and presumably got his weight under control.

I watched that SVN vs Webster dual match and it was worse than the 15-4 score.  I would have never guessed Webster was capable of beating SVN just a few weeks later, kudos to the Illini for having their guys ready.

He did an excellent job with the hand fighting and utilizing his length which is something SVN has struggled with.  They wrestle again this year I think SVN wins a comfortable controlled match but tonight Webster put together a masterclass gameplan

I thought SVN came in too confident and was trying to be a little too slick with his defense. Agree that the rematch won't be the same, but this one was a fun watch.

Webster also got beat handily by D’Emillio early and won a controlled match against him. I think KW cuts a ton of weight and finally got it under control.
