After Emmer won the nomination 117 - 97 over Johnson the caucus held a roll call vote on Emmer and more than 20 members said they would not vote for him on the floor. Could be posturing. Eventually we'll probably land back on McCarthy. Could be a blessing for him and whatever his agenda actually is. Won't be encumbered with all those deals he sold his soul for in January. VakAttack Posted October 24, 2023 Posted October 24, 2023 It's theoretically possible though realistically improbably for Jeffries to get it. There a bunch of Rs in Biden-won districts, but that takes a lot of courage to cross party lines and most politicians don't have that kind of fortitude.

Unwilling to acknowledge the obvious fact that they are on the same team and will only succeed by working together... as a team. It shouldn't be that hard, grade school and high school sports taught us this. Yet team Blue and team Red keep duking it out in some dumb unwinnable fight, during which we all lose.
