Although I agree with jross, this will do. In honor of SVV, from The Open Mat, who first started such threads on rasslin sites, I'm happy to help kick it off. SVV's thread is still a  video playlist of mine.

That’s to keep your whining ass shut. You want off this ranch, you got it. I’ll drive your ass to the train station myself.

Before you thank me, thank the White/Parsons String Bender.

Great Indy band out of Indiana....love these guys!

I'll check this out as soon as I can.  Not heard of them,  so I'll be excited to hear.  Thanks for posting.  I'd like to see this grow with good music.

To watch Frank Marino is an awesome experience.   He no longer plays, apparently has some issues with one of his arms that is locked up and very painful.

Here is another that shows his virtuosity.   A guitarist's guitarist.   Not many better, faster, more technical, or more melodic.

OMG....that's pretty good!!!  Kind of made my day....lol.  I'll work on a list of top 20 or so and post soon.  I used to have a long to commute to a place I was coaching, and anytime I heard a favorite song, I wrote it down in a little spiral notebook....it's long gone though.  I just kick off the list with a couple favorites, and add to it later.  One I used when "we" were all closing down the mat.com forum...

  • American Pie
  • Horse With No Name
  • Hotel California
  • Wildfire
  • Rocket Man
  • I'll Be There
  • You've Lost That Love and Feeling
  • 96 Tears
  • Poor Side of Town
  • Hanky Panky  (lol)
  • Wild Thing
  • That's a start ....need to get some Country going...start with just one
  • The Dance

Yeah, I can see where you're coming from, especially after your list.   Frank Marino is not everyone's cup of tea.   But being a 40 year aspiring guitar player and still not very good, he is absolutely amazing.   He is blazing fast, but melodic at the same time.

To me, what was great about SVV''s music threat at the Closed Mat was that so many were contributing to it, and all contributing things that they like.

Nothing wrong with putting in stuff you like.  To me, it just creates one big playlist for me to listen to from time to time.

And NOTHING wrong with that Frank Marino stuff.  Can't say I've ever heard him, but I loved it.

Hey BB,  I'm glad you listened to the Frank Marino stuff and liked it.   There is a lot more on Youtube if you found it interesting.
