Possibly because you were taught your multiplication tables and learned division and then percent made sense. Younger people don't have that kind of advantage because the calculator and phones can do all the math you need to do. No need to cloud the brain with useless math facts. mspart
Plasmodium Posted September 5, 2023 Posted September 5, 2023 Pro tip: X percent of Y is the same as Y percent of X. Use whichever is easier. For example, 100% of 78 = 78% of 100 =>78 8% of 25 = 25% of 8 => 2 34% of 145 = 145% of 34 => 49.3
