What has Mineo’s response to being wrong here been? Did he simply admit he was wrong? Did he say “well I only said it ‘looks like’ Iowa”? Or did he do the “I knew it was gonna be PSU all along and I was just messing with people” thing?

Posted he was messing with Iowa fans all along and posted pictures from early April of texts he had showing Aaron to PSU all along.

BTW has it ever come out officially that the Larry Lee texts were fake?  A couple weeks ago, Flo said something to the effect that the Larry Lee recruiting story was a fabrication.

No idea.  I try my best to ignore Mineo's shenanigans.  Only got invested in the Mineo Nagao to Iowa trolling when @Jimmy Cinnabon started posting that garbage on this forum.

I don't know if the texts were fake, but given Mr. Lee's twitter activity (which I would be shocked if it wasn't him) it sure seemed like he really did try to recruit the Willits brothers.

So who is actually feeding Mineo all this information. I assume, perhaps incorrectly, that there must be a source, however unreliable. It seems like it must be a rogues' gallery of NCAA wrestling degenerates.

I think during the drama related to whether Kemerer was going to wrestle, it was a relative of one of the backups affected by the decision.

In every case, I just assume it is someone tangentially associated with the situation at hand that wants to stir the pot and/or be important.

Same individual used to posr on "the board."

Seemed like a good guy who made a bad decision.  Seemed to regret it and ended up loving the program and the Brands.

I seem to remember that they burned the kid's redshirt at an open tournament. I could understand being salty if a redshirt was burned needlessly but at the end of the day, there wasn't a spot in the lineup for him on a timescale relevant to his eligibility.

Pretty sure Swafford actually thought Kemerer was gonna be done for the season.

It did kinda seem like he was going to be but things changed, possibly with some influence from Mineo

Wasn't he the backup who believed he was going to wrestle in his first college dual so his family all traveled to CHA? I think he shook it off but his brother posted on the former board about being deceived by the coaches or something. Man, he was angry.
