No love for Guerrero? How about Jeremy Spates, since Koll was on the block for a short period of time? I have yet to see Teyon Ware's name in there; how about him? Sam Hazewinkel?

I'm absolutely dumbfounded that OU is having this much trouble finding a head coach/staff.

Guerro has pissed off the state of Oklahoma

I think he is staying at SIUE. If he stays, will keep getting those kids out of Union County Kentucky. I don't think he would be able to recruit good enough to satisfy the OU alumni.

Can't we all just agree that we've got a bad OP and thread title here?  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Yikes! I had no idea. I guess his RTC in Tulsa makes a lot more sense now.

It was a stretch to have him at the OU RTC and he didn't make any friends there either.

Nothing against Heflin, but it’s hard to see a scenario where the athletic department would get rid of Roselli because he wasn’t getting results and then turn around and hire the associate head coach who has been with the same underperforming program for over 5 years. Sounds like they really screwed this one up. Whoever mentioned earlier they should have waited until after the next Olympic cycle was right.

Conspiracy theories starting here (by me), but could it be a matter of wanting to control the program more directly through donors rather than the coach himself.  In which case, they want a pawn who would be honored to have the title, instead of someone who actually has opinions.

All so they can have a program with one All-American every 5 years? I don’t think big donors spend their money and accept less than mediocre results.
