He didn't prevent any prosecutor from laying charges.

He declined to refer the case because, in his judgement, nobody would do anything with it.

How about the whole destruction of evidence thing, is that another crime not worth dealing with?

Apparently not.

You mad, bruh?

Yes corruption makes me mad. Do you think if Trump had his staff destroy subpoenaed evidence that he would be held accountable.  This is exactly what corruption looks like.  Are you OK with that?

I think the logic is clear.   Leave Trump alone if you are going to leave others alone.   If you don't leave Trump alone, then be intellectually honest and go after these others as well.

Comey recounted how Hillary broke the law and hid what she did.   But in his opinion, that was not enough to go after her.  In the immortal words of the great one, C'mon maaaaan!!

I know of this other guy that declared himself totally exonerated when Individual 1 wasn't charged.

I'll trade Hillary for Trump.  I can't think of a single leftist commie that would disagree.  How do we contact LookAway Jim to get the wheels of justice greased and rolling?

Personally, I think the reason she wasn't investigated is so we would have this conversation.  Simple political cover.

This is an asinine statement.   If they both broke the law, prosecute both.   If they didn't, don't.    It really is as simple as that.

Your statement just places in concrete that this is all a political thing, nothing to do with justice.  I don't think you meant to do that but you did.

No, disagree.  Hillary has to be investigated in order to investigate Trump.  Your rules.  I think she should have been investigated.  Perhaps she was. It is asinine to leave Trump alone solely because she wasn't prosecuted.

It is politically motivated.  Water is wet.  That is the world we live in. Trump's obsession for politically motivated investigations resulted in his first impeachment, for example.   It is related to justice simply because Cohen was sent to prison for the same crime Trump is likely guilty of. Three years is not a slap on the wrist, so serious crime.  Big assumption on my part that the crime under investigation is the same one as I don't actually know that or the evidence under consideration.

Got it.  D=good.  R=bad.   This is essentially what you are saying.   You cannot credibly say Hillary did nothing wrong and that anyone else that did what she did would not be in prison or heavily fined.    I am simply and naively thinking that justice should be blind and treat everyone the same.   That clearly has not and is not happening.

The Feds had numerous opportunities to punish Trump for this porn star thing, and didn't.   The DA is taking a misdemeanor case and trying to make it a felony case.    Unlike all the felony cases he reduces to misdemeanors.   And he's a horrible prosecutor losing almost half of his cases.  Like his heart really isn't in it.   But you can bet his heart is in this one.

REVEALED: Woke Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg has downgraded over HALF of felony cases to misdemeanors as criminals are free to roam streets of the Big Apple

  • Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg downgraded 52 percent of felony cases to misdemeanors, compared to 39 percent in all of 2019, according to new data
  • Bragg wins a conviction 51 percent of the time, down from 68 percent in 2019
  • Between 2013 and 2020, the percentage of cases downgraded by District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr. never exceeded 40 percent
  • Bragg who took office Jan. 1 campaigned on promise of criminal justice reform

"Bragg has been in office just a year, but Manhattan seems to be getting progressively worse in crime," said John Lott, president of the Crime Prevention Research Center, which describes itself as a non-partisan research organization with academics affiliated from Harvard University, The Wharton School, University of Chicago, University of Michigan and Emory University. Lott is also author of the book "More Guns, Less Crime."

According to his group's research, culled from the Manhattan D.A. Office's Data Dashboard, from 2021 to 2022, Manhattan's seven major felony offenses (murder, rape, robbery, assault, burglary, grand larceny and grand larceny auto) rose by 26 percent to the highest since 2006.

Or how about this website:  https://www.nytimes.com/2023/03/09/nyregion/trump-potential-criminal-charges-bragg.html

Even if Mr. Trump is indicted, convicting him or sending him to prison will be challenging. The case against the former president hinges on an untested and therefore risky legal theory involving a complex interplay of laws, all amounting to a low-level felony.

In New York, falsifying business records can amount to a crime, albeit a misdemeanor. To elevate the crime to a felony charge, Mr. Bragg’s prosecutors must show that Mr. Trump’s “intent to defraud” included an intent to commit or conceal a second crime.

In this case, that second crime could be a violation of New York State election law. While hush money is not inherently illegal, the prosecutors could argue that the $130,000 payout effectively became an improper donation to Mr. Trump’s campaign, under the theory that because the money silenced Ms. Daniels, it benefited his candidacy.

This isn't blind justice, this is blind rage.  Even NYT doesn't give this much of a chance to succeed, but Bragg moves forward undeterred.  If only he did that with the felons that make NYC a dangerous place to live.

I didn't say any such thing.  I'm happy to throw her under the bus.  She has to be investigated before she can be prosecuted and convicted.  That was on Trump's administration, but could also be done by Jordan.  Let it happen.  I welcome it.  From my view, it looks like she did receive preferential treatment.

The feds during Trump's admin?  I think this investigation of Trump needs to happen.  I don't know about prosecution.  Seems like that is up to the grand jury.   Bragg has a political job, but I don't live in Manhattan and he is not accountable to me. He will be accountable next election.

If you want to see another purely political investigation, check out this Hunter Biden thing going on right now.  It is a train wreck.  Nothing concrete is going to come out of that.

I'm amazed at the level of skill so many have achieved in displaying massive hypocrisy while in the same breath calling out others massive hypocrisy.  Even more impressive is the skill in knowing what charges and evidence are while they are still under seal and unavailable to the public.  The amount of social media information people take in as final word is mind blowing.

That said, if if IF what has come out over the last week or so turns out to be proven true in court......blow jobs, email servers, hotel break-ins, and arms sales to contras all combined pale in comparison to these accusations.

None the less, stop spending so much time worrying about the President.  Any President.   I can't think of any time in my life where who was President had a huge impact on where is was, or where I was going.

I prefer to wait for indictments as that demonstrates real evidence, but I can't picture Trump not waving documents around and claiming to be in possession of magnificent secrets.  Smart secrets.  The best secrets!

You say that now, but wait until Jeryd Mencken is sworn in.

I get the jist, BUT....I am a few weeks behind.  I am going to ask, with full transparency that I am 100% behind the "f you just because you haven't taken the time to watch it doesn't mean we shouldn't talk about it" crowd, but please no spoilers.
