That is flat out scary.

That is flat out what Huxley and Orwell predicted.   Totalitarianism across the board.   You will be taken care of, don't worry, unless you think wrong, then you won't have anything more to worry about.

Something similar has been proposed in our own congress, by dimocrax, no doubt.   I believe it was a Clinton plan.

The plan, as I remember it, was to confiscate all 401ks and similar savings and retirement funds, and pay the original investors a social security type monthly dividend with the gov’t accruing the leftover upon the contributor’s demise.

Bill Clinton never proposed, endorsed, or pursued any plan to confiscate all 401(k)s or private retirement accounts.

There is nothing in Clinton administration policy, speeches, legislation, or budget proposals that resembles a plan to nationalize private retirement accounts or convert them into government annuities. This includes the Department of Labor, Treasury, and congressional activity during 1993–2001.

During the 2008 financial crisis, House Democrats held hearings on retirement security. Economist Teresa Ghilarducci testified and proposed a new type of government-managed retirement plan called a Guaranteed Retirement Account (GRA).

Her proposal did NOT confiscate existing 401(k)s,

Her plan suggested:

  • Creating a new government retirement program

  • Mandatory contributions

  • A guaranteed return

  • Allowing people to roll over 401(k)s voluntarily

But no confiscation, no forced conversion, and no Clinton involvement.

If you think this is in any way a refutation of what I said, let me inform you that it is not.  I didn’t refer to any search, I remember it.  If you were to do a query into the proposition that puerto rico and Washington DC be made states, that the electoral college and senate be abolished, or the presidency, you might find a similar report, even though we’ve all heard them discussed.

Good strategy!  Defend your lies by just saying it was “as you remember it”
