I heard there is no good truck motor since 2019; and the new aluminum engines won't see 80k(miles) which is the price tag for them in dollars.  Any Brand.

The junk that they chose to push on their customers is mind blowing. Financially destroying your customer base with a garbage product is corporate suicide. Government regulation however does play a significant role in the end product reliability.

This is true.   Impossible mileage for cars now and in the future cause them to use lighter materials and have more electronic controls which is expensive to obtain and program.   But they are engineering to much tighter tolerances so things work better and waste less fuel so you get better mileage, until it dies on you.

All due to federal mandates.

zero weight oil is my favorite. Operate everything at it's critical limit then protect it with water like oil.

I guess with tighter tolerances, lighter oil will do.   Just wait until they get air bearings for all this stuff.

But the non ferrous metal changes dimension more with heat.   MFGA  Make friction go away!

Tighter tolerances don't necessarily mean tighter clearances. Manufacturing is better than ever but we clearly aren't getting better products.

Oh I don't know.   Back in the day if you got 100k miles on your original equipment you won the lottery.   Now it is 200-300k miles.

I have 115,000 miles on a 2019 Ford Ranger.  Spent money on oil change, tires and brakes.

My brother has a 3/4 ton Ford diesel 2008ish with 482,000 miles original engine he is now replacing it.

That’s more to do with the oil.
