The DSA unveiled a new platform earlier this month, and it is so aggressively extreme that even the likes of MSNBC and CNN are calling it out of whack. Yikes.

Couple highlights are abolishing the Presidency,  Supreme Court, and Senate. Also to scrap the Constitution and write another one.

Lot of other crazy details as well. (The entire platform and objectives can easily be found with an internet search.)

Soon to be dubged the Demzi Party?

Or Unzi (un-national socialists)?

Or Antizi (anti national socialists)?

Or shall we stick with calling them Deziz? (sound it out)

People who tolerate me on a daily basis . . . they are the real heroes.

It’s shocking that people are ok with this being a direction for Americas future.  I’m anxious to hear the libs on here defend this stuff.

Dont' know anything about them but I'm definitely in support of abolishing the Senate. It's one big piece of garbage.

The DSA charter is anti American, and anti Freedom.   The Framers were very familiar with all kinds of political systems and they ruled out true democracy for the chaos it has.   They ordered the country on a semi democratic republic that had the voice of the people and a mechanism to slow that down.

They wanted to prevent NY from owning the country due to their money and population.   They wanted something that would be more fair to the other states and compromised on what is now in the Constitution.   This is all documented and we don't have to guess.   They studied the situation and with full cognizance of their actions chose the method more likely to provide and preserve the freedom of the individual.

Thankfully our Christian based founding fathers were smarter than the rest of the world. Still are 250 years later.

Agreed.   They even considered a system similar to collectivism and discarded it as unworkable and anti-freedom.

That's yet another winger lie. Some were Christians; some weren't. The Constitution is NOT "Christian-based." This is a lie propagated by the corrupt Christian churches and wingers.

It is based on the premise that people will act morally and for the good of themselves and their communities and country.   When the people no longer do this, then there is no government that can control them.   We have seen this with the Floyd protests.   Mobs of people running amuck and could not be controlled.   Some of this was because of politics, some of this was due to the scale of the situation at the time.  You cannot govern huge amounts of people that are doing that.

John Adams famously said, "Because We have no Government armed with Power capable of contending with human Passions unbridled by morality and Religion. Avarice, Ambition, Revenge or Gallantry, would break the strongest Cords of our Constitution as a Whale goes through a Net. Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other."

Nowhere here does it say Christian, although morality and righteousness are Christian principles that every true Christian (follower of Jesus Christ) aspires to and Christianity was the major influence on the public at that time.  I believe Adams was 110% correct in this statement.

America is 110% christian based. More founding fathers were than weren’t. You should go read up on the constitutions of the 13 original colonies.  God was even more involved in those.
I love terms like these that get your vagina all wet

- In God we trust.
- One nation under god, indivisible with liberty and justice for all.
- in the year of our Lord (it’s in the constitution).
- so help me god (when being sworn in).
- with your hand on the Bible.
- 46 states use the word God in their constitutions/the other four reference a Devine/Supreme being or Devine Guidance

Morality is not specific to Christianity. Offensively idiotic to have such a dumb viewpoint

BTW, a disproportionately high % of the most vile and putrid pieces of garbage on this planet are "christians". And most of the pedos are too.

Modern Christian’s commit  far less terrorism than modern Muslims.  No one knows why.  It’s a mystery

It is not, but how many Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, Buddist, Atheists etc were in the US colonies and new country in the 1700s?   Very few.   How many people learned to read from the Bible.   Lots.    So now where do you think most people in the colonies and US got their morality?   From their Christian religion and the Bible.   That is a fact.   Idiots don't know this.   Educated people do.  Even AI knows this.

According to google AI - 75-80% attended and adhered to Christian Religion.   As for learning to read by reading the bible, google AI says 70-90% of men and 45-50% of women in regions like New England learned to read in this way.

Thats all 110% irrelevant. Many of the founding fathers were NOT christians, they purposelyleft Jesus out of the any of the founding documents and btw you ever read the 1st amendment? They clearly stated they do NOT want a christian state

I didn't say they were Christians.   But I said they were most likely brought up in a world where the living conditions proscribed a Christian sense of morality and behavior.   Their way of being was informed by Christianity just due to the times they lived in.   They did not want the government to be in the business of telling anyone what religion they should be, period.   It was not because they didn't want a Christian State, they did not want a religious state, whatever that religion or sect was.  You are a smart guy, you should be able to realize this.

A third grade IQ could connect the dots on it being Christian based.  Which is why you obviously can’t.

You need to get out of your bubble. The morals tonight in the Bible are far from unique. Those same concepts largely overlap with almost every civilized society in the history of the planet
