Not a bad thing.   Except maybe Door Dash will become to expensive and the deliverers won't make as much now.

Seattle passed a law here that penalizes Uber and Lyft.  The drivers get less because there are less riders because it is too expensive.   So that worked out great.

Considering door dash is already phasing in robots to do deliveries instead of real people makes me think they don’t really care about how much drivers make and will keep prices steady

he is taking credit for eric adams work

Adam’s had 3 years to reach a settlement yet mamdani did it in his first year

Samuel Levine of the Department of Consumer and Worker Protection (DCWP) said that the settlement is a result of the Mamdani administration expanding its enforcement capabilities after increasing staff when he took office in January.

“What we’ve been able to show, particularly over the last nine months of the Mamdani administration, is that by investing directly and bringing in the best lawyers, investigators, data scientists, and economists to the government, we can cut through a lot of the noise, identify violations when they happen, and put money back in people’s pockets,”

tell me you know nothing about the court system without telling me

either way, mspart is right

prices are going up for avg people b/c of this

Yea because they now have to comply with law and pay people they underpaid for extra profit lol if it’s too high of a price people won’t pay classic capitalist market.

"I'll ask those who make the most amount of money [to] pay more so everyone can STAY IN THIS CITY!"

How will this help?   Now you are actively chasing away those that pay the bills.

Mayor Katie Fivehead Wilson put out a budget with much fanfare saying she will not raise taxes and will not reduce public safety.   Only there are increased "fees" and reduction of fire department personnel.   It's not broken promises when they were outright lying.
