ICE is targeting violent illegal immigrant criminals, which they've been doing for decades, and is a good thing. One that nearly 100% of the people in the country agree with. Those violent criminals need to go. BUT the folks in ICE, given their direction, are also going after anybody in the vicinity of those being targeted. Not those being targeted but anybody in the vicinity that might be suspect... which, by suspect, means brown skin or foreign accent, or whatever random thing they choose. THIS, folks, is the problem. Not the criminal aliens they target, but those that are in the vicinity that are swept up in the process (a process that is illegal, immoral, and downright disgusting.) Example: ICE is arresting a targeted individual on the roadside when they see a Mexican looking individual drive by. ICE chooses to chase that vehicle, pull them over, handcuff them, and detain them for over an hour. Until they find out that person is a US Citizen and a law enforcement officer in Minnesota (Yes, this actually happened.) ICE should ONLY be allowed to arrest people under the same constraints the rest of the LEO community uses. They should NOT be masked, they should wear body cameras, they should wear badges with their names. And they absolutely need to be required to have reasonable cause. Anybody who disagrees with what I'm posting here clearly isn't from this country and is only here to create chaos.
