Which is why it is silly to compare Flo with the likes of ESPN…

they are not even in the same league…

as far as “crashiest service”, I would bet I watch considerably more wrestling on Flo than 99.9% of the anonymous nerds here snd abroad and it is amusing how few issues I ever have as compared to the whining that goes on across all platforms…

It is always the same kinds of people who have these problems…

I would bet I watch considerably more wrestling on Flo than 99.9% of the anonymous nerds here……   Yes your likely right as overwhelmingly people watch espn : big massively more than flow… that’s simple stats

Ok. Ron Swanson is super funny.  I’ll concede that.   With that said.  If you add viewers to the main tv broadcast flo has ~5% of total views last year.

by all numerical comparisons flow is a distant third place…  streaming crashing all the time and shitty brackets not withstanding….

The other guys on the flowrestling show really dig him out of some less than plausible opinions.  On his own, I consider it more comedy than insight with some of the crap he says.

That being said, I really do find his match commentary a benefit to the overall production of the matches.  Outside of the Big 10 guys, I find him much better than almost anyone with televised duals.  He has improved quite a bit and I do think he deserves a lot of credit.  When I am watching matches that dont have commentary, I find it a net loss and not as refined or professional when the flow guys are commenting

This part. Flo, as a whole,'s announce team is far and above ESPN and B1G. The problem is they don't cover any of those duals or tournaments due to whatever reasons.

If they were able to cover those and wasnt limited to JUST online and streaming the events they'd have a MUCH MUCH larger net worth.

I've said for years they need their own Roku channel. They have the inventory to stream live wrestling ALL the time.

If Bo Bassett doesn't ever do anymore than AA two times I will delete my whole ass account.....WrestlingRash sucks

Flo does not have broadcast rights.  They had a distribution deal to broadcast some big 10 duals from 2017 to 2021 but that’s gone.   They lost to the bigger dogs.

I think this all kind of sums some things up. Flo isn’t able to/willing to throw finances at it to compete with the Big 10 and ESPN (a bidding war they definitely wouldn’t win) for the matches/tourneys that count big. Without that (and likely, that with consistency) I’m not sure Flo sees it as a great business move to continue to over-invest and try some new things and see how it shakes out. They could very well be in a position where they have stagnated growth and feel the only way to continue relevance for the long term is to continue doing what they do and holding serve.

However, had they had the rights to some bigger duals or the broadcast rights to the big tournaments or something, consistently, we may be in a situation where we were seeing them start to make forward progress in a lot of these areas being discussed. The consistent payday and assured eyes on the content would give them plenty of safety netting for attempts at improvement.

Might very well be the case that Flo won’t try to advance without more secured financial support and, conversely, they may never garner more support or bigger tournaments/broadcasting rights without stepping up their production tier, etc.

Flo can not compete for the "bigger" national broadcasts because they are a small company totally dedicated to niche' programming...

the others are not...

this is not rocket science...

which is why trying to compare platforms against each other is silly at best... simply 2 different leagues...

which brings me to my original point...

surely some anonymous forum nerds can grab a camera like Martin did 20 years ago and do it better than these idiots at Flo and in no time will make all right in the wrestling world...

RIGHT!!!

They did.   They’re called big+ and espn/espn+

And they both do it better.   Netflix used to be a dvd shipping company.  Companies change.  They got into the wrestling streaming market and are dominating it.   What’s not to understand about that?

is Netflix a streaming company or a dvd company?

is this a forever freestyle thing for you or what?

Big Ten Network annual revenue- 1.47 billion - 7.35 times that of Flo

poor Flo just a tiny little guy... should be easy to take over their market share with just a few enterprising anonymous forum nerds who have all the answers...

RIGHT???

Startups unseat the big dogs all the time.   If they are innovative enough and have a good enough product and a go to market strategy the big dogs will go down.

fwiw i think Pyles is pretty dang good calling bouts/cards.

as for the criticisms of me earlier in the thread - to each their own. i am who i am and don't try to be anything but that. i understand i'm not everyone's cup of tea.

i will say this though - in regard to "Willie talks down to people"...

the only time that happens is when someone pushes into a take with great certainty and it's it's completely wrong. i like engaging with fans, and i just as often say 'good point'.

i just don't leave dumb rebuttals slide - especially when they are said with such bravado.

again - to each their own.

I wasn’t referring to rankings, I do appreciate the outlets putting those out there. I meant being more interactive with recruits/camps to find out what OVs are going on, where guys are leaning in their recruitment, do they have commitment dates etc. I know there’s significantly more money and beat writers in college football but they have a much larger pool as well. Just really hard to find information on where most of these big board guys stand throughout the year and I’m not a creeper to DM someone else’s kid when I have no official capacity to do so.

i typically like to write up college lists but this year was a little weird b/c they changed the rules. there's essentially no recruiting going on right now.

70 of the Top 80 2027's are already committed and colleges are now not allowed to talk to 2028's until next year.
