Where is this Nebraska income... please show us!

So far, it looks like $0.

8 home duals. 20$ a ticket.  Estimate $960,000 in tickets sold.  ×2 for concessions at least. Parking $8. Their are a few boosters, nebraska wrestling camps, clubs, and fund raisers. That is pretty close to even or + $$

They have won 14 more titles. Big difference.

Show us Nebraska's income... hint: they are about $3 million "out of the green"

Didn't know titles came with a bag of $$? And your national champs that win 7 million on top...

There's facility expenses no?  My experince with universities is the Parking Dept gets the parking money.

Do you guys still owe Ferrari $1M if no one takes him?  😉

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

First off you think they get that entire overestimate of $960,000?  The concessions workers, security, and janitorial, etc work for free?

Same things with concessions and merch?  You think that the jujubees and corndogs are donated?

Boosters donations, fundraisers, etc.  don't count as revenue as far as the University is concerned.

I hope you are not Manning's accountant!

LIke I said: Hope the guy isn't Manning's accountant!

To be fair, his math is very similar to the PSU fans' on the Minnow board.

Yes, but people actually go to PSU matches and it is a national brand.

Hopefully Big Red is buying accountants too, and not building them.

Hate to break the news to you, but no sports program actually gets all the money they generate at an event...not even close.

Its all university parking. And ferrari didnt got a lower amount. Other schools offered him more. The fan base also raised a big chunk of $$

You're just confusing 'in the green' with 'in the black.'  Sure there's something call operating expenses, and of course you have to offset those before profit is realized.  BUT...being in the green is a magic place that only happens in Nebraska

Right the $$ just goes no where. Even though the wrestling consession stands were out selling the volleyball and they end in profit every year... sooo

Not necessarily. Only charged to park there when wrestling is held.

I was there last December for a big dual.  We didn't pay for parking.

Tread lightly...you may be held accountable in the, 'not growing wrestling' movement...

Did I mention didn't partake in concessions while at the dual.  Also didn't throw hundred dollar bills in the air when Vega pinned Hardy ... sorry.

As someone who spent 20 years working in various D1 athletic departments (from the MAAC to the Big Ten) - I'm fairly confident you have no idea how the finances of an athletic department/individual team work.  You are allocating dollars to Nebraska wrestling that almost definitely don't go to Nebraska wrestling (almost guaranteed to not go to the Athletic department even) and there are a litany of expenditures that you are seemingly completely ignoring as well.

Since your math is loosely based on your own estimates and no hard data . . . well it's nice to see you have so much confidence in your own beliefs that you can't possibly conceive a scenario where you are wrong.  Belief is important but doesn't need reality sometimes

If the events they hold are making money it helps no matter what. Saying a full stadium/arena does nothing for the program is foolish. Weve also been raising $$ as fans, boosters have put $$$ forward, camps, coaching clinics, etc

I would be hilarious to see how you balance your personal finances.
