Hot take Robideau had the hardest path to the finals.

First Round Gavin Drexler Former AA

Second Round Charlie Millard, gave many guys a tough time this season. Antrell and other top 10 wrestlers barely beat him.

Quarters Kaleb Larkin, Big 12 champ, looked like he would aa but just didn't have a great tourney

Semis PJ DUKE, PJ Duke is a stud everyone knows that, and Robideau knocked him off.

I would like to see someone this year that had a harder path. Only other ones I could think about is the 133 pound bracket.

Mesenbrink beat a guy who made rd of 16, then the 8th placer, then the 7th placer, then the 3rd placer, and of course the runner-up.

Post was about hardest path to the finals not to the championship.

Cowcards post makes sense.  Usually the finalist with the worst seed has the inside track to hardest path.  No surprise Valencia is on top here.

Not a hot take. Robideau had the toughest tournament run and it's not close. 157 was the deepest weight and he went through the 3 guys who were most-predicted to win the weight and two other very tough guys to start.

Doesn't change the fact stated that the kid in finals was decent ... maybe defending champ?

When you consider the gift from the refs, it’s not quite as impressive.

Larkin is this you?

first, great work Cowcards.

Aden Valencia was the toughest path to win it.

which makes sense as he was a low (the lowest?) seed to to win.

So he beat 1 all-american from this tournament before the finals.  Two total.  That's the lowest number of all-americans a champ can beat.

Provo had the toughest time making 3rd.   He won his first lost his second and then beat everyone else in his way.
