Ridge Lovett redshirt?

Looking at wrestlestat. They show Ridge Lovett redshirting this year.

 

Was there an announcement or is this speculation?

I wrote the this in my crystal ball column and said it on a preseason preview show a couple days ago.

they made no announcement.

I've read that Manning thinks very highly of D2 transfer Dane Morton, who's a SR. Might be a chance to see if he can cut it in the B1G.

He only had like a 36-15 d2 record.  Maybe he has improved. Ridge can wrestle 3 duals and still take redshirt. Correct?

No the new 5 rule  is only for TRUE freshman

It's bullshit and should be for any athlete who has a RS available.

Agree - I wrestled one year and redshirted 4... I have 20 matches left.

Per Manning he had some injuries that are reportedly behind him. I expect that by Vegas Manning will know if Lovett will keep that redshirt on.

When did he mention injuries? He wrestled off?? I sure hope he decides not to redshirt.

Something I read on cornnation. From what I understand there was no wrestle off at 165. So I assume Wilson is hurt. I was really surprised that Van Tussell got the call at 184, I had Pinto number 1 then Haas and VT.

I think he was saying Morton had injuries (not Lovett) and that may have contributed to the less than spectacular D2 record?

I read an article saying Comendetti (I'm certain I mangled that spelling)  won the wrestle off. Didn't say who he beat.

I was also wondering about John Poznanski 184 - from RU - he is also listed by WrestleStat as redshirting this year - anyone have any “inside info” on his status?
