Agreed. After watching the fight, Bo just got straight bullied. Wrestling in the MMA context is different than just wrestling (obvious statement, I know) because you can get punched, kicked, and kneed. Bo got whooped here, he can bounce back but it will require some humility in assessing what he needs to shore up.

I thought you were pretty bothered by this conversation as you don't care about MMA and come here to get updates on College Wrestling(during the height of College Wrestling News in MAY)...

I am certainly not a fan of Bo's personality or his act. Obviously a great wrestler. I do root for him to win in the UFC. But that fight was really really bad. He was tiny and tbh was losing a lot of wrestling positions. RDR was often controlling the ties (bodylocks) and was bullying Bo in the clinch. RDR was also able to use his ties to dictate where the action took place (up against the cage). Bo should be better from these positions.

As a side note, KOT is doing camps with Missouri wrestling this summer as he recovers. Missouri comes to Idaho every summer to do a camp. They do an excellent job with their camps.

KOT should stay at Mizzou. He should be their next coach (as soon as he get a little more seasoning). He's got great name recognition among the HS kids nationally, plus I bet he's a superhero to the kids who are fans of Mizzou.

I don't think there is a perfect shape for wrestlers. The only requirement is they have strength, flexibility, and endurance. We've seen the short legged, barrel chested guys like Chance Marstellar and Luke Pletcher, and the tall, long-legged beanpoles like Mark Branch and Evan Wick. If a guy has a particular body shape he can adjust his style to his strengths!

Yes what an amazing game! When both Tampa and Florida each hit two goals in 11 seconds in their game five, a strong reminder that it’s not over till that final horn. Friday night I took my boys to the Everblades game 1 of round 2. At the nine minute mark Blades were up 5-1. Said to the boys if it’s stays like this we’re leaving at 5 minute mark. At the five minute mark it was 5-3… Went back solo Saturday night game 2, final score was 6-1….but I wasn’t leaving early. Don’t think I ever will again.

No doubt liver shots are devastating... it was hard for me to tell if he was cringing from those shots or the soft face shots he was getting hit with, or both. If it was both, that has me a little worried about his comfortability with getting it.
