Beat Ed Bannat (8) from Navy in R1, Charles Shivers (1) Oklahoma in Quarters, Lost to Chuck Jean (4), Iowa State in Semis. Verlyn then managed to avoid the let down on the front side and Proceeded to beat John Sorchinsky (5) from BYU in the consi semis. Wrapping up his 3rd place finish, he beat Ken Bos (2) from Cal Poly. Quite a run! I love this kind of trivia, and a lot of these names I haven't heard in a long time, so it's nostalgic . . . but it took up 2 hours of my weekend/morning!

When I saw that I thought Jake was in real trouble. But Tyson, backed way off. He came hard the first few seconds of each round but then backed off. mspart
