It's not the 1950s anymore; that ship has sailed. It would take decades to rebuild while Trump has <4 years left and we don't have the cheap labor to do it anyway. Other countries besides China can also do it. 2) China is a big boy and here to stay. They've become a superpower and we've already crossed that bridge too. 3) Trumps lost his credibility and showed too much weakness. He changes his mind daily and folds like an accordian whenever the bond market shows weakness. 4) We have zero allies in this battle against China. Nobody is coming to our side against then in this trade war. They know that Trump could still turn against them in a second while China is stable and reliable. Keeping 10% tariffs on rest of world during trade war w China is incredibly dumb. 5) Zero great deals in 3 months. This isn't like buying an apartment building in Manhattan. Lying, cheating, bullying and stealing isn't as effective in dealing w strong foreign governments. 6) Our strength is our domination of world financial markets including being the reserve currency of the world. AI is also a strength but China is close behind us. We could lose that financial supremacy status quickly and will as we continue to bully other countries like China. They allow us that status and can take it away. They can dump that debt. We can't get that manufacturing back in any reasonable time but can lose control of the world financial markets much more quickly. 7) There's no long term plan. The plan is to tax the hell out of goods entering country (different rates every day) and manufacturing will magically come back on its own. China is WAY more sophisticated than that. It's a joke.

Carter was the only top ranked wrestler who wrestled. National champ vs. National champ was a match everyone wanted to see. The rest of the lineup was pretty boring. Could have had Allirez/Mendez, Otoole/Haines, Gable/Kerk. Instead we get boring matches like Haines/Devos.

If Max McEnelly had won NCAAs this year it wouldn't have made the All Star Classic "look bad" because they had Parker vs. Carter. It's still a great event with great competition. That doesn't change because of what happens later in the year.
