  1. Past hour
  2. I respect your opinion, it is a bit hard to compare for me because of Bo's attempts at senior level tournaments where Melvin has not. Melvin's best win is nothing compared to Bo. Melvin's best opponent is PJ Duke and wrestled him tough.
  3. The Las Vegas shooter had made some statements supporting and apparently held some sovereign citizen type views. I definitely wouldn't call SovCits left wing at all.
  4. Can one of our conservatives defend Homan's actions - accepting a bribe on tape - or are you going to deflect? Isn't Trump supposed to be draining the swamp? This looks pretty swampy. @JimmySpeaks @Bigbrog @Scouts Honor @Caveira
  5. If they can get Downey back at 157 and Thomsen at 165, that's a good team.
  6. I agree with you. KOT is a maybe, and JB is also a maybe. The last time JB wrestled the Iranian who ended up taking bronze, he lost at the 2024 Worlds. And while Usmanov won in 2023, JB didn’t even make the team that year - father time is undefeated. As for Dake, he’s an unknown to me as well. Too many of his matches are uncomfortably close for me to call him a clear upgrade.
  7. This particular conversation started in response to Keith Olbermann. He was speaking to Robinson’s possible motive, and was not justifying the killing. In fact he didn’t even get into any detail about what Kirk said. Then @Caveira came in and asked “yeah but how was he a threat???” You can’t ask a question then when someone answers it claim they’re justifying murder.
  8. The whole point is, you are coming off as the person who says, "Yeah his death was bad and it shouldn't have happened, BUT......" There is no "but..."!! Period! If you disagree with that then I am not sure how anyone wouldn't think you are trying to soften his assassination or have the thought that somehow Charlie deserved it. As for you and I debating the things he has said and how they can be interpreted, I'd love to have that civil conversation outside the context of Charlie being assassinated.
  9. Lol. In your first paragraph you complain about not providing examples, but then in the second you prove my point that you’ll just try to turn it around and claim I’m justifying his death. You’re also being disingenuous by saying Kirk “didn’t want to hurt anyone.” I never said he did. He clearly always advocated against violence. But he said a lot of things people didn’t like that could have caused people not to like him. AGAIN, THAT DOESN’T MEAN HE DESERVED TO BE KILLED FOR IT. If you agree to not claim I’m justifying his murder, I will provide some examples of some of the things he said about trans folks.
  10. Who is suppressing free speech in terms of the protection the first amendment provides??
  11. Ummm...you are the one claiming what Charlie said was "against" trans folks and gay marriage, yet you don't want to explain specifically what was said and in the total context of the conversations he was having at the time. I personally didn't agree with everything he said (college is a scam, the things he said about Muslims, etc.), but Charlie did not hate anyone, he did not try and oppress anyone, and he was definitely NOT a racist. All one has to do is to truly listen to what he is saying in the full context of what he is talking about to know those things...again, doesn't mean you have to agree with what he said, but you can't make things up that he said or didn't say just because you don't agree. Until you can show ANYWHERE where Charlie wanted to hurt someone you definitely will continue to come off as appearing to try and soften the fact that he was assassinated for having an opinion and openly talking to people about it.
  12. Today
  13. Very exciting. Hope he can create something down there
  14. I'm pretty sure no matter how many times you post the same thing over and over it doesn't change the fact it doesn't mean what you think it means
  15. Kirk said numerous things against trans folks, and gay marriage. There were plenty of reasons for a trans or gay person not to like Charlie Kirk. Obviously that doesn’t mean they should kill him over it. Again, Olbermann was just speaking to his motive, not justifying it. And if anyone asks “yeah but what specifically!!!!” I’m not going to reply because then you’ll claim I’m justifying the murder.
  16. US Greco. They won 2 or 3 more matches than I thought they would
  17. These are great examples of the silliness of a left/right model of the political spectrum. While the Islamists hate America and our freedoms as much as our homegrown lefties they hate us for different reasons and in different ways. But in no way can an Islamist be called "left". And gangs? C'mon. Those are the most apolitical people in the country. I imagine if you were to plot their stances on things they would be all over the map: Anti-tax, anti-regulation, pro death penalty (obviously, they inflict it regularly), anti-family, anti-war on drugs, pro crime, etc. Very tough to place them in a camp. Some smelly French idiot 200 years ago noted that birds of a feather sit together and now everyone is locked into a less than worthless linear, one dimensional mental construct. I find the horseshoe model (introduce by another Frenchman) much more accurate and when you then apply the "who is more violent" concept you find that those who wish to impose their views on others contains almost all of the political violence. Libertarians seldom go around killing people to make a point about now much they want to be left alone - except in self defense or when being raided. Even the horseshoe model would have trouble placing them on the spectrum. If the horseshoe model used "individual freedom" at the top and "coercive government and/or coercive means such as rioting and killing" along the two legs of the horseshoe then it would be more useful. And you would see that all of the killings come from people who think those who disagree with them should be dead. Tyler Robinson and Timothy McVeigh are very very close to each other although both would be aghast to hear that. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horseshoe_theory
  18. You keep saying that Charlie Kirk hurt his boyfriend/girlfriend in some way, so when asked you said because Charlie believed that trans folks shouldn't be in the military....HOW in the world is this "hurting" anyone. They won't let me serve in the military because I'm old and fat...should I be mad at someone because of that and think they purposely are trying to hurt me?? Did they guy/girl want to be in the military??
  19. Check with Wkn ... he's the forum's bowling expert.
  20. Good lord dude, does your back hurt from moving the goalposts? Olbermann was just talking about a possible motive, not justifying or celebrating the murder. There is nothing wrong with what he said.
  21. So they shot him? again. You literally spend more time trying to litigate against this guy than you show remorse for someone who was murdered for talking. You will respond but he shouldn’t have been killed then but …. Kirk bad etc.
  22. ... a good job?
  23. Kirk explicitly stated that trans folks shouldn’t be allowed to serve in the military.
  24. Then who do they want to arrest for hate speech?
  25. So I’ll rephrase. Charlie Kirk threatened his trans friend exactly how?
  26. Assuming the roommate is actually trans, there has definitely been a push from the right to dehumanize trans folks via the laws, including not allowing them to serve in the military, considering not allowing them to own guns, etc. If they were just gay, Kirk has also spoken out against gay marriage, and quoted a Bible verse which talked about stoning gays as “God’s perfect law.”
