  1. Past hour
  2. Purportedly?
  3. good question. seems to be a lingering neck issue.
  4. Agreed, I'm sure he doesn't want to redshirt. Can he make 157?
  5. I'm an NC State fan first. It is just that Cornell has had a ton of injuries to their stars. Yianni something like 11 surgeries, tore ACL as a freshman. Vito just not the same a senior, but still won. Shapiro some serious issues the past couple years.
  6. Meyer Shapiro was a monster prospect. I'm not going to give a revisionist assessment of it. At the time of graduation, I thought Meyer was ever bit the prospect Duke is.
  7. I don't know...they seem to perform well in March, so it's really not an issue. That's the key component people don't seem to be getting when they belabor this point made by both their own fan base or other fanbases. 1-It's about their College team. 2-It's about doing the best you can to keep them healthy and performing well at a high level. It's not about a 34 year old Kyle Dake getting banged up, or a ~27 year old Vito Arujau who trains part time with Titan on the West Coast. Seriously, Iowa fans...let this one die. You've been keeping it going for so long...
  8. i'm not arguing one way or the other, but we really don't know if this Vito is anything close to peak Vito
  9. Has not been decided. but i he doesn't want to redshirt.
  10. Has this already been decided? Seems insane to keep him out of the lineup even as good as they are
  11. David Taylor could win worlds this year at 86. Not sure if that would be the best long-term move regarding his benefactor, but the only two people who can beat him are out of the picture. I get it that his heart is complete and he stepped off the mat a final time with a victory that so few of us get, but dang...
  12. 2x world medalist vs 1x world medalist world medalist last two years vs world medalist several years ago defending world medalist vs OTT DNP World medalist at weight vs world medalist up a weight I have Vito as the bigger win if Jax pulls it off. Big if. And what is with all the Cornell injury issue that no one ever talks about?
  13. You Typed a lot of words just to say the left doesn’t like to be asked to define what a woman is.
  14. LOL...imagine living in this world? A Matt Walsh documentary! The guy who studied "the trans issue" for decades and then when asked how many kids(ie, those below 18) were on HRT, he said "oh million, millions," and...about 3-5 minutes later, Rogan, dubious of the intellectual Matt Walsh's claims fact checks him...4200, less than 1000 a year! That's where you're getting "the left" can't answer what is a women? How pathetic is your life dude? You live in a social media bubble. I guess the right then is a short, fat, bald middle age to elderly man espousing racial slurs with their fat wives...and they can't wait to stop talking about a civil war! I mean, I see that on social media! Also, how ignorant are YOU that you're just constantly asking what a women is and being asked to leave? I can picture it, foam coming out of your mouth, screaming, 'ANSWER THE QUESTION! WHY WON'T YOU ANSWER IT, WHAT IS A WOMEN,' as the scared day care assistant ushers the kids back inside!
  15. Yianni manhandled Duke in the first match. Man vs.Boy. Yianni came out strong in the second match, building a sizable lead (9-2, IIRC). Then about halfway through the match, Duke exploded. Yianni suddenly looked tired and beaten. I don’t think he ever really recovered from that the rest of the night. Third match was even-ish, slightly in favor of Yianni, when Duke pinned Yianni. Yianni wrestled cautiously in the third match, almost too much so.
  16. the modern right is a schizophrenic cult
  17. you guys believe anything. it’s unreal lol
  18. Was his wife there? That's the only reason I'd really care...it'd still be his fault, but you feel bad for her.
  19. The left doesn’t like to be asked what the definition of a woman is do they? If you ask them they usually ask you to leave.
  20. What did Yianni say? Also, someone posted earlier that Yianni is the better wrestler. I didn't see the matches yet; can someone fill me in here: Duke must be at least as good or better to take two matches, right?
  21. Fine, I'll go first . . .
  22. My ambivalence regarding whether DSD athletes should be allowed to participate in women's sports reflects my own ignorance as well. Although I constantly read that they are 'biologically male', I've not seen that phrase defined with precision, let alone the assertion substantiated. Nor have I seen any research documenting their testosterone levels, and how they compare vs. elite female athletes. The intersection of biology and our cultural perspectives regarding "level playing fields" and allowable advantages etc. is also relevant to the DSD athlete debate. Finally, as an odd aside, these debates always leave me thinking about Spencer Lee vs. Anthony Robles, and the nature of disability/advantage. Specifically, why it seems taboo to even consider Robles' potential advantage(s) (and to a much lesser extent, Spencer's) and what that says about our obsession with level playing fields.
  23. Today
  24. I think it needs a team dual format. I’d suggest based on the geographic hometowns/colleges/RTC’s of the wrestlers. Real Pro Wrestling created teams but then IIRC just did the matches as an individual tournament which I thought was a miss
