  1. Past hour
  2. Not gonna lie it does bother me a little bit that he made such a big deal about his “commitment”, but then changed it anyway.
  3. buffalo bill nabs the weirdest post of the day....
  4. IDK seems like a weird time to tout his status as a role model. i appreciate the cordiality of your post.
  5. This is worse than when my pet caterpillar refused to pupate when I was a kid
  6. Hammer, this kid has done a lot to inspire and engage with youth wrestlers. Chill out brotha
  7. are morons still tip toeing towards the ridiculous idea that you shouldn't give the askren's money because they've already got more than them or dana white should pay for it something?
  8. Call him what you want but he's built a large enough social media following that he can probably get legitimate compensation for it.
  9. Yes, but I'd be shocked if he didn't have insurance. That should cover everything up until ~15K...with the exception(possibly of the transportation from LV to Wisconsin). It's entirely possible however that it wasn't deemed "medically necessary" to move him from LV to Wisconsin. That would likely have been extremely expensive. Maybe it's so...Amy can be there and not have to work(I don't know if she is a Stay at home mother) or maybe she has to pay for childcare or maybe...a hundred other things. Maybe it's just something someone set up because they felt like that's the only thing they could do. I mean, IIRC, when Ben's Wife Amy last posted an update, she said someone had set up a fundraiser for the RTC, something Ben wanted to do and I don't recall her mentioning her own fundraiser. Something like this costs money even if the actual hospital bills don't cost money. You're entire life is put on hold and from what everyone has said publicly, his wife has pretty much been camping out in his room. Whatever it's used for, I'm fine with it.
  10. when does it become ok? Isn't he 18?
  11. "Bless your heart"
  12. Wish I could but it's too late in life for that. Paid too much into social security, family, etc. I'm encouraging my kids to consider it though, against my own interest. I want what's best for them.
  13. "Look, they're not good for me as a wrestler, a person or a Christian. But I will never say anything bad about them" is legit hilarious.
  14. "What kind of whore?" ~Kyle Snyder
  15. Keep trusting netrnyaoo. He's been saying Iran's "almost" got a nuke since 2006. He's gotta be right one of these decades.
  16. Definitely not. 1) the kid is a kid. 2) he’s working out the best place for him during the most pivotal point of his life. 3) even if I don’t like the histrionics of social media, he’s been able to build something for himself already. Let him do his thing.
  17. What's your point? Exterminate the extremists?
  18. They could use a GM to manage this guy and to tell him to shut the ***duck** up. You don't want your biggest donor making comments like that. The public has no idea if Gabe Arnold likes to party or whatever about living a wrestler life. Why say anything negative. It already seems like Gabe doesn't handle the fanfare well in the first place. Also, the man has a superiority complex. And I understand why. He is important to Iowa wrestling. But to pretend he has an influence on the wrestlers is unhealthy.
  19. is it ok to start calling this kid an attention whore yet?
  20. Yeah just read it. @VakAttack my first thought was something similar to what you posted in there. Seems weird that he’d say “I’ll never say a bad word about Iowa” immediately after saying Iowa “didn’t fit his wrestling and faith journey.” Given NLWC’s preference for prostitutes, I’m thinking they probably don’t fit his faith journey either. OSU It is
  21. It sure seems like something happened now. It's passive aggressive to do that.
  22. it's a really weird post and someone should tell him to stop. Regarding Gabe though, in a preseason presser last year Tom Brands made an offhand comment about Gabe and his off season activities. I think Bob was referring to Gabe not living "The Wrestler Life" as opposed to disparaging his mental health struggles. It was still a bad post though. With the way things are going, I do wonder if we will have General Manager type roles in college athletics soon
