well one went from 133 to 141, the other from 125.5 to 145.5. His lack of offence has nothing to do with energy. -
I get your point that they weren't ignorant, and I still think its a dumb rule but once I thought about how difficult it would be to investigate (you place a bet for your girlfriend whose shaving point in a basketball game or something) I can see why its in place.

it'd be a much bigger jump than pletcher and at a higher level of wrestling. His top work would suffer a lot, i don't think its possible. -
I'm sympathetic to the gambling thing. A stupid rule being arbitrarily enforced is the height of bureaucratic laziness and apathy. But yeah I forgot the ferrari thing. You make a deal where you're trading directly on your reputation and then it blows up in your face and you get nothing except all the damage...not fun.

him and the other top coaches are on the phone with the head official pretty often, I actually think it contributes to a lot of confusion with coaches behavior, most know what the refs are being told to emphasize. I also think he wins challenges because he good cop bad cops it with cunningham.

I think he has to have a bit of essential angst concerning his job. The gambling thing must have been beyond frustrating, but Iowa never really got any momentum going this year even beyond that. Ayala in finals, Caliendo is pretty great, but hard to know what else he's supposed to feel good about. Whether or not his job is getting shopped around doesn't change that he is almost certainly doing some soul searching.

From my perspective, it felt like I said, "He may do this on behalf of his legacy, ego and personal ambition," and got a bunch of people responding, "Yeah but he has a cow." I see what you're saying obviously all valid points.

Gable is way more critical than you think. Taylor makes perfect sense. He has the reputation to recruit against Cael, and he's probably the only one, unless he wants to chase GOAT status and wrestles a whole cycle, he has enough hype to inspire donors...and Taylor is ambitious guy, whats he supposed to chase if not Cael?

I'd love that, for narrative reasons, but PSU has an interest in having a 5 time champ, and if they don't need the best guy in college I don't know what PSU is trying to do.

well he's probably going to demand a raise, so thats effectively hitting the portal. As far as what he says, the guy claims he doesn't care about anything until he's quitting and throwing tantrums.
