  1. Yep. I don't think a defensive fall is going to be called there very often. Renteria was off to the side just enough that the ref was locked on him and not looking at DeAugustino's shoulders at all. Unless you've got a really jumpy ref, the top guy is going to have to be held there pretty solidly, not flopping around. That's the danger of reaching back like that, as you're more likely to expose your own back than get the defensive pin call. Yeah, that was embarrassing. How did they think the bottom man can score nearfall points?
  2. Former presidents can't, however. Especially with magic mind power.
  3. I ain't that smart. More of a QAnon theory than an Einstein theory.
  4. I don't know about 165, but I think at 125 Spencer would dominate Kyle if they met right off the scale, but if they met in NCAA finals where Kyle had a chance to fuel up and rehydrate, he stands a chance.
  5. I have a theory that everyone actually likes JC and looks forward to his next topic.
  6. I'd love to be wrong, but there is no way he wrestles the tougher matches at 133, especially Arujua. He would be at a disadvantage because he has to keep his weight down, and he needs a 2/3 seed. He will either weigh in at 125 to get more matches there or duck altogether. They only care about one match at this point, and that is the finals against Lee, where he will outweigh him by ~10 lbs.
  7. Guess we need some David Crosby in here now. He was an asshole, but man, he made some excellent music. https://youtu.be/1HN6jGKFnvg
  8. Vincenzo just got thrown to his back and pinned by Joey Lavallee in the finals. Didn't see that coming.
  9. He tweaked his knee in the first exchange of the match. Couldn't really tell what happened. Ended up finishing out the tech fall, but was clearly favoring the knee. Hopefully something minor.
  10. I'm dealing with a baby right now and can't check the brackets but did see J'den tweaked his knee while teching his opponent. Has he wrestled again?
  11. Nothing you've said makes my statement incorrect.
  12. Not to mention one of the main arguments for overturning Roe was that the abortion question should be left up to the states. Almost immediately after it was overturned Republicans were talking about drafting federal legislation limiting abortion....
  13. It quite possible could. That's what is being investigated. The Trump organization was already found guilty of criminal tax fraud.
  14. If you do a little reading on how secure Mar A Lago is you will see what the big deal is. A lot more people coming and going than in Biden's garage (not that it is any better of a place for highly classified documents).
  15. What's not in dispute is most of the documents at Mar A Lago were kept in an unsecured storage area with video surveillance showing people coming and moving boxes around. What's also not in dispute is Biden giving the documents up instead of obstructing and making the FBI get a search warrant.
  16. Rarely is too strong of a word, but definitely underutilized. I feel like I see the fat boys use it more often, but it works for any weight. Is there much danger of a leg pass at that point? You could still hook the leg even if you hit your hip to keep the opponent from grabbing your other ankle, especially if your opponent refuses to belly down. You took the bait. But since we're talking about it, the bow and arrow type finish is a great way to work towards a fall after getting your NF count.
  17. I was watching highlights of this weekend duals on YouTube. During one of the matches the announcer said one wrestler was going to look for a turk as they were finishing a takedown, and then the guy just didn't try and turk at all. It made me realize how often I see guys in perfect position to hook the leg for a turk but rarely see them actually do it. It's a great way to get some easy back points and even catch your breath a bit if you need to, and there is nearly zero risk unless you get really overzealous as your opponents only defense is to belly down. This is not a high level technique. If I coached at any age level I would emphasize always looking to finish a double leg position with a turk. Why isn't this used more often? Are there other moves or techniques you often see wrestlers in perfect position for but rarely utilize?
  18. You should be looking for a spot on Trump's 2024 team with your ability to use alternative facts and attempt to somehow turn this into a positive and make Trump look responsible.
  19. Hvy still going but Mizzou won the dual handily in the end. Only real surprise was Surtin getting majored. Anyone see that match?
  20. Hart not wrestling, they could lose 141, too.
  21. Surtin lost the first match. Didn't see it so I don't know what happened. Brown just won 15-3 (looked like he had the guy stuck in a scramble at the end). Glad to see they were able to get him a new eye so quickly.
  22. Ummm..... thanks. Works for me, too. Nice surprise.
  23. Yes. But the circumstances around the investigations are not identical. The refusal to return the documents when requested and the attempt to hide them may result in a different outcome for Trump than Biden. Time will tell.
  24. We clearly have chain of custody issues when it comes to classified documents. It is disconcerting that the government doesn't seem to know where all of these documents are. We also have issues with proper training for how to handle classified documents and emails (not just Hillary, but also many members of Trump staff). This all needs to be addressed ASAP. A special prosecutor was assigned to look into Biden's handling of these documents, as should have been. We'll see what comes of it. The difference with Trump was that he was asked to return the classified documents he had long before all of this went public and he refused to return them. The government seemingly did everything in their power to get them before issuing the search warrant for Mar a Lago. All the while Trump continued to obstruct in the processes.
