The thing I never understood about affirmative action was that it assumes only minorities are poor and need preferential treatment to get a job, college admission, etc. Also the other side of the coin, there are well off minorities that are still getting preferential treatment as well. That is why I have never been a supporter of a law based on the color of your skin that you have zero control over, unless you want to be Michael Jackson or Sammy Sosa and change it.

From my experience, you have to be dirt poor in order to qualify for any substantial financial aid, so the only options is scholarships or grants. They are out there and it's a lot of work but most of the time doable. There are specific awards for minorities too.

I might be mistaken, but I believe Rep Dexter is referring to the fact that minorities including Africans, Asians, Native Americans, and Hispanics for some reason have a higher rate of lactose intolerance as a whole than White children. Based on this she is saying that RFK Jr's recommendation of having whole milk back in schools is a form of white supremacy. As someone who has a wife that is lactose intolerant, they aren't drinking regular milk, whole or otherwise.

If they still exist today why don't we ask Barack Obama, Condoleezza Rice, Colin Powell, Thurgood Marshall, Robert Johnson, and Ketanji Jackson among many others, how they overcame this made up system? There are choices in life and also consequences for those choices whether you like to admit it or not. I have said it 100 times, some people have to work harder than others because life isn't fair. No amount of spewing your sociology nonsense online is going to make a damn bit of difference. Try finding something that actually makes a difference like volunteering at the boys and girls club or being a big brother through big brothers/big sisters. I have a black daughter. Do you think I am going to tell her that she is going to be less successful in life because the color of her skin based on a made up system that is magically oppressing people? Hell no! She is the most determined little girl I have ever seen and thankfully she will be wildly successful.
