    I was lucky that I didn't have a lot in there but yeah who could have foreseen the whole damn country being shut down? I still look back and wonder how I didn't go nuts being trapped in my house for that long.

    I never thought about that. I guess if you have any Target Date funds, keep an eye out on the underlying investments. Hopefully they exercise their fiduciary duty and inform the investors before they dump a ton of money into alternatives that are in my opinion a lot higher risk.

    I got burned during COVID with REITS. I invested a small amount of money into a venture called BREXIT REIT. They invested in retail buildings and college buildings. It all blew up during COVID and they liquidated the whole thing and sent me a fraction of what I put in. I would be scared to put more than a couple hundred into them anymore.

    Ok, go ahead and explain how violence against a transgender person doesn't get classified as a hate crime. How do you magically know someone's intent? It either is or it isn't.

    Any violence against someone that is transgender is classified as a hate crime just like any violence against a minority is classified as a hate crime. Violence is violence, nobody cares about the reason.

    My first thought on this is, if you wait until the drug addiction gets worse, because you aren't stopping the distribution, then the pharmaceutical companies profit even more than they already do on Narcan, etc.

    I think the positive outcome from having the NG in DC was showing the mayor that more police are needed. Obviously having the NG anywhere for an extended period of time is problematic. Why do we call in the NG for riots but not to assist in crime prevention on a temporary basis?

    I genuinely don't understand why using NG to supplement the police shortage is an issue. They aren't invading people's privacy like big brother. Would it be more acceptable if they were military police because they have the training?
