  1. Apparently the word is that Sadulaev had an injured neck.... So I'm fully prepared for everyone to say it was a fluke because of that. But the way he handled everyone else... the only explanation is it wasn't a fluke or he was on PEDs.
  2. One more to add... Brent Metcalf at Iowa vs. Lance Palmer. Palmer was always the underdog and Brent was so easy to hate on with his intensity and his reaction to his losses to Caldwell (who can forget him ramming into Caldwell mid flip?).
  3. Like the announcer said, the dude barely even cracked a smile after the win. Dude must be dialed in!
  4. Welp, Tazhudinov looks to be the real deal. Absolutely smoked AZE.
  5. Oh man, I didn't realize he was committed to the Bucks but Googled it and it was confirmed in an article. I second the Ramos rivalry. He would always stare him down and be so cringe while with the Brands. I really like the guy now though. Might be the change of scenery. For me, Bo Nickal of PSU was one. I didn't dislike him, but the rivalry with Myles Martin was wild. Watching him flip Myles onto his back in the 184lb final and then rant and rave about Penn State winning titles... Oof that was a tough one to swallow. But again, love the guy when he's not facing OSU wrestlers.
  6. Good point. How many matches you reckon somebody like Yazdani has of actual competition per year?
  7. With or without the ankle ride
  8. I was wondering the same, and Chance clearly schemed well to beat Jordan. I think if he had enough tape and feel for these international guys he could probably do the same and game plan well against them. But you simply can't discount Chance's ability in winning a tournament with Dieringer, Starocci, Marinelli, McFadden, etc. There's no way he simply spent 2 years focusing on Burroughs or he wouldn't have even made it through the Open. JB had months to prepare for Chance and didn't get it done.
  9. It looks like most of the highly sought-after recruits do not participate in meaningful degrees and instead get something along the lines of Tourism Management, Sports Management, Parks and Rec, Psych. etc. Do those degrees really matter if it says "UNC" or "Stanford" after it? Genuine question, btw. Edit to add: Just did some creeping on Penn State's team, almost all of them are enrolled in "RPTM" or Recreation, Park, and Tourism Management.
  10. According to what I found online, 19% of all 4 star recruits coming out of high school get drafted to the NFL. Fairly decent shot.
  11. Real estate agent and Enterprise Car Rental is also an option. Don't sell those guys short now.
  12. Random question - but why is it in wrestling that only the greatest wrestlers are expected to be good coaches? You certainly don't see this in other sports (nobody assumes Michael Jordan would be the best basketball coach) and, with all the administrative bs required of coaching, why is being great even an advantage over others unless you are the one rolling with the wrestlers / teaching technique on the mat?
  13. Was he really intending to wrestling at 197? Seems like a pretty poor plan if so. I haven't been following his story, but if he's playing linebacker, I highly doubt the football coaches would even entertain the thought of him cutting down to 197lbs every offseason. He'd be shooting himself in the foot from a football perspective.
  14. I'm curious what degrees the starting athletes are getting - from what I've seen based on watching the NCAA tourney, most of the successful wrestlers are getting Recreation Management, Communications, Psych, or Sports Management degrees. Every once in a while you'll see a guy who gets an Engineering degree like Adam Coon (impressive), but seems to be the exception rather than the norm. I know those universities mentioned are prestigious, but does a Sports Management degree from Stanford really stand out more than other schools?
  15. Definitely interesting news, didn't realize Terry was searching for HC jobs as well. Thanks for sharing Jimmy. actually bringing some convo to the board.
  16. What's the new TBar handle?
  17. Oh damn, doesn't even look like the same person. I see her previous account with her last name "Echemendia" has been deleted and this one started fresh. All the telltale signs of invasive procedures and looks to be in rapid succession. Could be due to the trauma she experienced through the event or in the past, emotional issues, or as simple as she likes the look. Ya never know.
  18. Just curious, what is the Ohio State forum?
  19. Is this legit? Sincerely hoping this poster is making shit up... Good luck Sammy.
  20. That is wild. Looks like the prosecutor is pushing to charge them as adults even though they are 15 and 16. Sounds like they're seasoned criminals.
  21. Nvm, somebody already asked this question.
  22. Apparently two 17 year olds have been apprehended for the crime in another stolen vehicle.
  23. Boo, me wants to see Bo fight. Who cares about hunting season. Being a father is somewhat important tho.
  24. So sad to hear he's had severe nerve damage and is relearning how to walk. Do your thing and donate wrestling community!
  25. Ahh, so the guy is a nuisance and it's not due to the post.
