  1. Don’t know that I agree with that. But more to the point, if “this is true”….isn’t that what matters?
  2. I don’t necessarily disagree with you here, with the sidenote that all of the branches of the military, of which the national guard is in fact one, are different. But more to the point, there is a reason I included the “slowly getting comfortable with……not a good progression” portion of my comments. I don’t know if there is a reason you cut out that portion of my comments when quoting. But as I’ve said on this topic before, slippery slopes have a point of no return.
  3. There is a difference between “federal assistance” and the military sent to American cities to police the citizens. And it is an important distinction to make. One is good and is not at all a new format. The other so very not good that 250 years ago some very wise and brave men started a revolution to get rid of it. Slowly getting people comfortable with…or even in favor of it is not a good progression.
  4. The ball dropped into a mostly empty row and the guy walked down the empty row and grabbed it. Not like he walked over anyone or pushed anyone out of the way. Fair game. No way I would have given the ball to my kid then taken it away from him to give to her. One of the best parts of this story is she was incorrectly identified by some as an administrator for some school district in Jersey. They put out a statement clarifying this woman never was an employee there, while also having a little fun with it stating (paraphrasing) “ anyone who has ever been a teacher, supervisor, or student at (XX) school district clearly would have caught that ball and none of this would have happened in the first place”
  5. It’s amazing one can put in all this work and effort and still come out so foolish. I truly hope you find happines. I do.
  6. This is your reply, very shortly after…on Saturday night….when all you can come up with is more childish jibberish, yet nothing to say about the topic at hand? Make it make sense??? But to try and answer your question, no. Most of my outings in the weekends our daytime activities (and never any fences in sight). I do appreciate your interest though. It was pretty much a perfect day.
  7. Epitome of not reading and just running with the click bait. Not one mention of Newsom in the article. One Dr from one county “advocates” wearing N-95. Put the phone down dude. Geez
  8. The fellow I was criticizing replied to me three times after said criticizing, and in addition we have discussed his summarization of teachers across the board before, and at no time has he corrected me on my writing of his summarization of teachers across the board. Yes, he had discussed the CTU and schools in his area, but he doesn't seem to disagree with my description of his summarization of teachers across the board. Which, is exactly my point, Chicago Public schools is not a representation of the nation as a whole. NIce try. You have a good weekend as well!
  9. I appreciate your willingness to provide a series of humorous exchanges to start the weekend, and fitting I were to read them while sitting down for my morning glory. Allow me to go through each: First your 20 second comments at 20 for the day. I thought lets do a quick check on the histroy....and you find 46 actually in this 24 hour period leading up to. But go ahead and pretend that with each written posts (in just 20 seconds) you're not reading 3-4-5 But if that wasn't enough, you had to come back later to edit so you can add in your misinformed math. Nooooo...you're not second guessing yourself at all. But if that wasnt enough, after joining in on some other conversation, it just kept bearing on you so you had to come back even later to add two more posts quoting the same one as before. Obviously nothing is 'under your skin' at all. You are enjoyable little fella. Enjoy your weekend. We know, we know.....you are going to enjoy that retired life you've filled with happiness out in the world.
  10. The only thing I’ve said here directed toward you was I agree 100% with your article. And your reply to me was quoting my post that is the complete opposite of ‘sitting on the fence” But please, tell us more about who’s gotten under whose skin . I look forward to reading your four or five times responding to this one post. Yes I can see that. Talk to anyone experienced in human behavior and they will tell you spending hours a day on an anonymous message board acting like a child just screams happiness and enjoying life. . I think you and RV secretly sit around the campfire together. Have fun!
  11. 1) your numbers are social media agenda driven BS, intended for blind sheep to run with and parrot. Can you cherry pick this district or that area to find those numbers…of course. But as for totality of American students across the country your parroting is not repeating accurate information. You can spend the next couple of hours finding social media posts to copy if you want to try and combat that but I’d suggest you not waste your time, it’s not convincing. 2) I’ve said in similar discussions on this board the #1 reason for performance decline is parents, and not at all a country full of teachers who don’t care, as you describe. For one, far too many parents these days take the easy route instead of the difficult route. Because allowing kids to play their games and thumb around in Instagram and TikTok is a lot easier than doing the hard work, disciplining their kids to be accountable for their learning, engaging in activities that enhance their learning, getting them outside for exercise, etc. And secondly, more and more parents are setting bad examples for their kids who are sucking up what they see their parents doing. For example, if a parent is spending hours upon hours everyday thumbing social media sites so they can copy and paste for gotcha moments to complete strangers on the internet 1) what kind of example is that setting for the kids and 2) how are they holding the kids accountable for their learning, engaging in activities with them to enhance their learning, etc. As I said, there are definitely a few bad apples in every bunch. But your post wasn’t talking about a few bad apples, your post pointed at the profession of teachers, and it’s bulls**t
  12. It’s not so much that what the NG guard was actually doing in the particular instance that concerns me, it’s the opening of the door of putting the military on our streets for law enforcement activities, and the slippery slope that follows walking through that door. It’s the prospect of slowly normalizing the use of military troops to police citizens that concerns me. As for your question about military police my answer would be no. 1) Because it’s military troops policing citizens on American city streets, and 2) because MP’s are not trained in policing citizens/residents on American streets, they are trained in policing military troops on military bases, etc.
  13. You haven’t a clue what you are talking about. This is some of the most ridiculous s**t you’ve posted on here in a whole warehouse full of ridiculous s**t There are certainly some not so great teachers out there, just like cops have a few bad apples. But to paint the brush you are painting against teachers as a whole across this country shows what an ignorant blind sheep you really are. There’s a good documentary out there called the social dilemma. I would recommend you sit down with your family and watch it. Then would recommend your family put a temporary ban on you on social media. You are very obviously, by the ‘ stances’ you take (or rather just repeat) and by the sheer amount of time you spend copy and paste on here every day, way too sucked into social media. Put the phone down. Enjoy your family. Enjoy this world.
  14. Great essay. Agree pretty much word for word.
  15. I think a distinction that is being missed here is the difference between cooperating with, and being thankful for (as it pertains in the other thread) for law enforcement engagement, vs military troops engaging in law enforcement in American cities. Military policing Americans has always been a no no. It’s a big reason for the revolution that started our nation. And it is not what is being agreed to here. DC, while appreciating and encouraging the assistance of law enforcement agencies, is also suing the administration over the use of military troops policing our citizens. Can’t undo what has been done, so I’m assuming they are suing for the sake of it not becoming the norm, which it seems to be creeping toward.
  16. I talk with him regularly, work with him occasionally, and see what he is doing on a day to day basis. But if talking smack on an anonymous message board based on what a loud mouth entertainment promoter with a long standing beef with him says makes you feel better about yourself……feel free.
  17. Tito is definitely far from brain damaged. He is actually doing some pretty wonderful community based things right now, and I can assure you he is far from brain damaged.
  18. No, which is why I didn’t say “being a bouncer is glamorous”. You should put the phone down for a while. There’s a nice world out there.
  19. So now you’re adding bouncer to your already glamorous resume The more people tell an anonymous message board how great they are and/or how great they’re life is, while also spending a very good chunk of their days coming to said anonymous message board to spat like on elementary, endlessly recess all day long….the more they are telling us they are full of s**t. Just something to think about. Cant wait till next time to see what’s next!
  20. Your level of general anger in life is not healthy
