  1. Hillary and Hunter in the same sentence….
  2. I kinda feel like Plas’ answer above is pretty solid. I’ve read numerous opinions (not social media/chat room but people in law) that say no one first time, guilty plea, would go to jail for this plea. Many would be fined and if without enough funds paying on those fines for a bit. But…that’s opinions.
  3. Honestly, I think the more relative question is would other president’s sons receive the same for the crimes they were convicted. And I think the answer to that is yeah…probably. I think it goes without saying that any Presidents son would get away with more than you, I, or anyone else around here.
  4. Except for one major detail: There is significant precedent for individuals accused of the same federal crimes he has already been indicted for to be held without bail. If the coming charges that our being reported are accurate, there is significant precedent for individuals of same crimes who were held for trial without bail. The election interference nonsense is clickbait talking points rung up by MAGA for the sake of public agenda. The start of investigations and subpoenas way before he declared his candidacy, even though he did way before his own party wanted him to, only to try to stave off prosecution, and call it election interference. As for the secret service, I don’t believe if a federal judge remands a felony defendant held without bail, they have any authority to override him/her. All that said, I never said I THINK they are going to hold him without bail (why do people have such a hard time just sticking to what was said?) I said rumor is that’s what they are going to recommend. In here I said there’s certainly precedent for it in terms of the crimes alleged. On other note, it’s insane to me that there is debate and consideration of a judicial timeline because a candidate will, at the time of the Republican primary, be under indictment in four different jurisdictions for around 100 or more felony counts, with strong evidence (at least that has been the trend of already executed federal indictments) . Take all the party blinders off….that’s just insane.
  5. The word today is it’s racketeering in GA, Trump and 12 others. I wonder how many in the likes of Rudy, Meadows, etc got deals with the DOJ to talk about their indictments, but are going to get strung up in RICO anyway out of GA??
  6. I mean I could spend more than three minutes looking, and come up with a number for articles with all kinds of degree of severity, instead of just copying the first five outlets that came up in a search, but I think the point is clear. The information that is not being reported on and the arrests that aren’t being made…….they clearly are. But there are People who aren’t interested in truly knowing whether the information is available, let along get into it….they’d prefer to have something to strike at.
  7. China's dream of a smooth post-pandemic economic recovery has already turned into a nightmare (yahoo.com) China’s Economy Is Slowing. Here’s Why that Matters - The Washington Post China Property Stocks Drop as Data Shows Slump Worsening (wsj.com) Social credit system coming to China, with citizens scored on behavior (nbcnews.com) Where Is Qin Gang, China’s Foreign Minister? 8. In fairness, the intent in Portland was to destroy a building, the intent in DC was the destroy the results of a Presidential election. Not exactly the same.
  9. Documents trial was set for May of ‘24, and there’s word both GA and DC indictments will recommend held without bond for trial. Going to be an interesting election season.
  10. This one took about five minutes, instead of five seconds. As we can see, the more time goes on, and the more resources put forward, the more people get arrested. Again, if we really want to know, the information is out there. 43 federal arrests in Portland since July 4, federal officials say | CNN Politics District of Oregon | 74 People Facing Federal Charges for Crimes Committed During Portland Demonstrations | United States Department of Justice More than two dozen Antifa rioters charged for Portland mayhem (nypost.com)
  11. Okay, we're referencing two separate events. Incidentally, the article you linked discusses people being arrested in the 2020 event as well.
  12. Well, as noted, the article was a full two days after the event. I'm sure more has developed since then. If you would like to follow up to learn more........look.
  13. It took five second to find the people were being arrested and charged within two days of the event. Four people charged in Portland after demonstrators vandalized federal ICE building, Democratic Party state headquarters | CNN
  14. My general opinion on release before trial is that it should be based on factors of the crime accused, the strength of the evidence used to charge, and the judges judgement on how strongly they believe the accused would show up for trial, with money not really a factor. Honestly when it gets right down to it I don’t know how much the money is a factor in whether or not someone shows up. That said, I believe, generally speaking, that a violent storming of the Capitol in an effort to overturn, or at the least obstruct, our election is justifiable to hold without bail. Now, I said generally speaking because each individual case is it’s own individual case. No possible way me or anyone else on here could give an informed opinion on each individual case.
  15. I think a big part of the sentiment for the victims is that we’re still at the stage of the process where the accused has not been found guilty, therefore they are still by law innocent. Not saying it’s right, just that it’s a catch 22 in the law, for the sake of protecting the innocent. The theory of rather seeing 9 guilty men go free as opposed to one innocent man go to jail.
  16. Only guilty man in Shawshank
  17. There’s plenty from both to go around, the bears wouldn’t be deprived…
  18. At least we agree on something
  19. Haha yes, yes can agree with that.
  20. Wow, you're even worse at this than I thought. The post of the video of MTG stroking Trumps cutout, that did not mention or respond to you in anyway, that you quoted just two hours ago and immediately started defending yourself that you don't like the "republican AOC" (yet another subtle whatabout).
  21. Yet you felt the need to personally defend yourself, quoting a video that didn’t mention you in anyway? Did I mention….you’re not very good at this?
  22. Again you’re not very good at this. Let me see if I can help you. I didn’t say anything relating to whose problem it is, I said you’re not very good at this. Why? Well you come into a thread discussing MTG with your first whatabout….schools. That wasn’t getting the play you wanted so you went to another unrelated whatabout….immigrants in Chicago. That got about as much play as the thread you put it in originally, so you went to another what about….. immigrants in New York, stating ‘this is you’, even though the topic was MTG and porn. So I guess the only question I have is…..which of these unrelated topic problems are you referring to that I don’t care about??
  23. More ‘yeah but’ from MAGAland Cant even talk about the differing space in the Republican Party without some MAGA coming in “yeah but the democrat”
