    Let's do some math: Jayden James, who is in the same 2026 class at Bo Bassett, wrestled in the U17 class and has three years of U20 eligibility starting next year. Bo Bassett, conversely, has only one year of U20 eligibility remaining. Melvin Miller, a *sophomore*, aged out of U17 and has to wrestle U20. Think about that.

    When Gilman got hit with a “correct throw” by Abakarov at Worlds in 2022, I was stunned that it was a thing. I continue to be stunned that it is a thing. It was not danger, it was not control.
