  1. They? The state? The state is supposed to do maintenance on privately owned property? They are supposed to clean up brush on property owned by the power company and private citizens? I’m genuinely confused here. You want the state to be responsible for maintaining private property owned by corporations and homeowners? Seriously? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. What is “fire season” in CA? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. So, should they not do maintenance? Should they let all of the reservoirs fall into disrepair, so none of them can deliver water, for any purpose? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Power company easements on private property. Right of way below the power lines. Homes on private property. Is the state responsible for those? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. 1) They plan maintenance years in advance. 2) Santa Ana winds can happen in any month. 3) This reservoir being empty didn’t change the availability of water for firefighting. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Davis/Bartlett vs Masanosuke Ono? I'm mostly joking but...
  7. Man, if only there was some way for the public to confirm or deny what the echo chamber was telling them about the status of their reservoirs… https://earthexplorer.usgs.gov Or they could just continue being ignorant. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. It’s odd how often you post things that are wildly inaccurate, that you’ve failed to do any kind of fact checking on, and then you refuse to admit that you were wrong. Given your penchant for posting things from absolutely trash sources, maybe you DO mean to mislead? Have you ever stopped and thought about the fact that you are actively curating your own “news” feed via Twitter, and that there’s a lot of made up bull*I poop my pants, don't laugh at me* on it? 9. PG&E, for starters. The water delivery system exceeds national civil engineering standards. Unfortunately, they don’t account for current conditions (fuel, wind). And, they have plenty of water. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. There will be a 141 kid at another B1G school who might have a decent chance of snatching that crown in the next two seasons. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Why? Their last dual started at 285. Nebby-Goofers started at 157 last night. Taylor, Minto and Pinto were 1-2-3 for them. Won all three, too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. In his defense, his guys are getting better reps in their own room than they would at 95%+ of duals. Aside from adding OSU, who they’d have a good chance of blanking, they can’t get a much harder schedule. There are very few schools predicted to win 1, let alone 2, matches against them. 13. Noel Francisco is the former Solicitor General of the United States. I can’t believe that he actually argued that the US doesn’t have a compelling argument to prevent the spread of Chinese propaganda (or the surveillance of US citizens by them). I get that he’s in private practice now, but dude, come on. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. In a surprise to no one, TikTok would rather vanish like a fart in the wind instead of coming under non-CCP control. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I'm well aware. I went to grad school with one, and worked with him a couple years later, a couple thousand miles away, as well. Generally speaking, though, they aren't going to school to pursue athletic goals; they are getting an advanced technical degree that has value to the USAF, like my friend who used automatic object recognition and GIS to develop tools to detect buildings damaged by hurricanes and earthquakes. He had a much stricter timeline than anyone else and defended his thesis after three semesters. Departed for his next duty station before fall semester graduation.
  16. My entire family/extended family had norovirus over Christmas. It was rough. There were a couple times where I’d just barely manage to finish spraying out the back end, flush, and it would come out the top. Went through a lot of Saltines that week. I was the last to catch it; my nearly two year old was patient zero, then the four year old and wife, and two days after they’d completely recovered, me. Had the pray-n-spray, then a bad fever for 12-16 hours after that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. If I open all of the fire hydrants in your neighborhood, some of them are going to have no water; pressure is not unlimited. Is this a new concept to you? Also, a firehose aimed at a large scale wildfire is like pissing on a bonfire. It's not going to stop anything. As a person new to the mountain west, you have a lot of learning to do about fires, root causes and human responses.
  18. I actually didn’t offer a solution. Unfortunately, unless you can change the ecology of a land that is designed to burn (I.e., every state west of Texas), you’re going to have big fires. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Maybe all of the red states with the exact same problems will hire me, too? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. What state do you live in? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. LOL. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. I already did. See my link above. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. The East Troublesome Fire burned along the western shore of Grand Lake, the third largest body of water in Colorado. 193,000 acres. The presence of a giant body of water nearby didn’t help, other than preventing it from spreading southeast by creating a firebreak. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/East_Troublesome_Fire https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grand_Lake_(Colorado) Unless you can somehow transfer reservoir water into rain clouds, you’re still going to have an unlimited amount of dry fuel. You can’t pump water fast enough. Pissing on a bonfire. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Ok. How would that additional water help? As I showed, many reservoirs are in great shape. Water volume is not the problem. Delivery is. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. I genuinely have no clue what you are trying to say here. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
