  1. Tier 2 according to previous thread. Still can't believe someone typed those words...
  2. Having Carr in Tier 2 is the wildest thing I've seen on this board this year....congrats
  3. Ernest Benion?
  4. "Mat Town USA" ...it goes way back, their enormous camps in the 90s carried that name, and they hosted some premiere-ish tournaments named Mat Town during Carl Poff's run. There was some really solid years. Back then psu starters were in the field, and not dominant (actually just not very good). Thomas Field house would actually sellout for the bigger duals up until Poff retired. Unfortunely, like many programs, it will never be the same. Scott Moore is doing a great job.
  5. Sure..if it was his decision...but let's reference the product on the mat. Because I wanted to watch wrestling. Star or not. And his backup almost picked up the W. I was shocked by the product UM had on the mat last night.
  6. Michigan's lack of intensity coupled with reluctance to actually wrestle was startling. I hope Coach is asking himself questions on how not to produce that product again. Because that was gross...
  7. Totally depends on how he executed his descent..
  8. Gotcha, 99% it is. But believe me, as an alum and former LHU wrestler, and knowing the coaches. This is an extremely different circumstance. LHU has always been a good reserecting destination, but for the right person. It ain't him. It would be disastrous having that boy in that town.
  9. Definitely 100% NOT the case. I would never consider LHU a logical choice. Lock Haven campus/town is NOT suitable for a Ferrari, especially more than one. Not even debatable.
  10. BIG BIG problem...but i will suggest less than a few years..
  11. Hofstra was at a different level, for the better. They produced all americans at a steady rate for atleast a decade. And won many conference titles. With no knock on Campbell.
  12. I meant historically, or in general. Not specific to Stutzman. Sadly, Buffalo has never been on the scene, and now Bloomsburg, appears they will never be on the scene again either. Like they were for some period of time. On the scene meaning- every couple of years or so, you have an AA threat or two, and maybe even a potential national champ sprinkled in there. Which Bloomsburg felt like they had for of a decade or two. The EWL was rock solid, and had a really good run up until the 2000's. And Bloomsburg had dudes (AAs and Champs).
  13. I think this shows me Buffalo is not capable of being on the scene like Bloomsburg has done before.
  14. It will be interesting to see if he can do be as good as his dad. Great sign... His dad was freaky good.
  15. Nice..That's the years I'm looking for, 97' & 98' timeframe. It be nice to see brackets. It's fun to see things from long ago when you can't remember yesterday.
  16. I believe Cael won double crowns at Cadet Nationals at 143lbs, in Lincoln (can't remember but think Juniors where in St. Louis that year), after competing at 112 or 121 a year prior. It was not common for guys to jump that many weights back then. That was his first big jump, and he was highly touted.
  17. Oh boy..Where did you find that RTOC info? I lost in the finals and would love to see more stuff if obtainable.
  18. Edinboro & Lock Haven had some real deal lineups back then..real good times
  19. Hmmm..many of the throwback psu guys "could" win if this "would" happen. Off the top.. Prescott/ Jim Martin or Hunter-Nico would be amazing Abe could win Kolat could win McCoy would win Hughes could Pritzlaff could be a problem But.. Cael's wrestlers would be too loaded from top to bottom. But, there would be some battles.
  20. Kevin Darkus was phenomenal.. an absolute wizard. Great choice of year. This field is amazing.
  21. My guess would be Kyle Synder is the first American wrestler to specifically win Olympic gold in a pair of "Nike"...?
  22. I recall Kolat having a significant influence on Nike shoes and their development. My teammates and I had several prototypes that were being made for him. He was under contract at the time.. but sure loved watching Carl Perry win his Natty in a pair.
