  1. Yep, agreed. I'll need to keep my eyes posted to see if Michigan announces their lineup ahead of time.
  2. Line is PSU -22, jumped up briefly to 22.5, I'm trying to find a reason to not take the points with Michigan. 22 is soooo many but I know deep down if I take the points, I'll be praying that Davidson can somehow beat Kerk and will be resigned to losing my money like a chump
  3. Looks like some money has come in on Nebraska, line is now Nebraska -140/Iowa +120
  4. Very well could be, no dog in the fight for me
  5. It is pick, from Circa it's listed as Iowa State -140, Iowa +120
  6. Some quick thoughts from the Husker dual. I echo a lot of what @jajensen09said. Shoutout to @Husker_Du on the call last night. 125--Caleb Smith very methodical, workmanlike performance 133-Van Dee looked terrific, aggressive all match, he didn't give Heil a chance to breathe at all. 141/149/157--Dominating performances against overmatched opponents 165--Taylor looked like he was shot out of a cannon in the first period and he came really close to getting a first round TF. It looked like a landed a bit awkwardly during a scramble in the 2p and was limping a bit. 3p he got a little gassy but credit to Baker who had a few really good shots during the match and made it a little more respectable at the end. 174--Thebeau looked great, wrecked his guy 184--Pinto got an early TD but then Hopkins controlled most of the rest of the match, Pinto struggled to get out from the bottom when Hopkins took him down. That being said, Pinto had a nice burst at the end with a couple attacks to get the TD and the W at the end. 197--Allred good solid performance HWT--Some early fireworks with Andrews putting Ghadiali on his back for an early 5 point move, after that Ghadiali really took over. Andrews looks like he maybe weighs 220 out there and he's going to get muscled around a lot. I'm guessing the staff has Andrews eating and working out as much as humanly possible. There is good technique there, he's just really undersized. On to the Navy Classic! GBR!
  7. For Nebraska, I remember having a strong dislike for Jake Varner. He really held over Craig Brester and I was delighted when Brester finally beat him at the Big XII conference tourney. Varner of course turned around and beat Brester..again..in the NCAA finals. I swear Varner must've been like 8-1 or something against Brester. I remember Logan Storley and Kokesh having lots of high stakes matches and Storley always came out on top.
  8. Rock Harrison, the ACC announcer for ESPN is a great one.
  9. The awards were given out at the annual wrestling banquet Nebraska does every year. https://huskers.com/news/2023/4/17/wrestling-husker-wrestlers-honored-at-annual-banquet.aspx Ironically enough, Robb won most courageous the year before too: https://huskers.com/news/2022/4/11/wrestling-huskers-honored-at-annual-banquet.aspx
  10. Not sure what Starocci is so upset about. Pin more dudes man.
  11. Nino's interviews all weekend were great. Only thing he was missing was a headband and a tshirt that said, "Tough times don't last. Tough people do."
  12. I thought he was going to do it when he interviewed w/ Sparks on BTN. Sunglasses inside, the whole bit. It was great haha.
  13. I think you could say Nebraska is still trending up. Their team finish dropped a bit from last year but they still scored the same amount of team points and if Lovett wrestled at 149, there is a reasonable case to be made that Nebraska would've finished 4th in the team race. With Ridge coming back next year, there is a solid core of Hardy/Ridge/Robb/Pinto/Allred where it wouldn't be unreasonable to see all 5 of those guys AA. Losing Labriola and Cronin stings and those guys will be missed. They appear to be in pretty good shape at 165 between Wilson and they have 2 promising young guys behind him in Taylor and Condomitti. If I remember correctly, Condomitti was going to be the guy at 165 before he got hurt. As with most Nebraska teams, there will be a black hole at HWT. Andrews looked really undersized out there in the limited action I saw from him so he'll definitely need to hit the weight room. There are some interesting pieces at 125/133 between existing guys and incoming recruits but I wouldn't be shocked to see Nebraska try and hit the portal at 133 because the ceiling for guys like Burwick/Thomsen and others appears to be capped at NQ. Lastly, I have no idea what Pinto walks around at but I wonder if he potentially cuts to 174 and Nebraska also hits the portal to snag a guy at 184. I have no insight but I have to think Manning is going to want to stick around for at least a few more years. He's got kids in HS still so you'd think he'll want to coach until they are out of the nest so to speak. I'd imagine he and Snyder have some kind of coach in waiting thing but again, that's just speculation on my part.
  14. Would slot in great at Nebraska if Pinto drops to 174.
  15. Love the way Hendrickson wrestles, he's leaving no doubt after his stumble last year. Just wrecking dudes.
  16. Weird match...Pinto takes down the UVA wrestler in the first 10 seconds and gets a suck back for 4 NF and then....gets totally dominated after that, outside of a scramble Pinto barely threatened to score the rest of the match. Props to the UVA wrestler for keeping his nose to the grindstone and getting a nice win.
  17. I think 'resilite' is really shooting up the rankings. I swear they dropped it in at least 10 times during the broadcast. I get why to mix up from saying mat at all the time but man, it seems like a lot haha.
  18. I initially read this as his son was at Purdue at the same time (I read it as 'that year' versus 'this year') and started laughing like a maniac and getting really confused.
  19. If you're going to slight Manning and Co for Red (who was still ended up a 3x AA) and Venz do they on the flip side get credit for Berger and Dudley? Your point about Kokesh is a fair one, he was definitely the favorite to win it all in 2015 at 174.
  20. Have to figure it is Davidson right? I thought Emerson rolling out there against Schultz was more for style matchup reasons.
  21. I figured Dryden getting the nod against ASU was a mix of saving Burwick from another tough scrap against McGee that won't do anything for him regarding Big Ten seeding and also to let Boo get some shine on Senior Day.
  22. After a rewatch, Hardy not getting that TD right at the end of the period really took the rest of the wind out of his sails.
  23. Agreed, it just never quite clicked for him.
  24. Absolutely terrible effort out of Hardy. He quit after giving up 6. Not sure if he's dinged up/sick but if not...gutless effort.
