  1. To state the obvious, Gus DeAugustino had some great teams.
  2. Correct. Here's Albrecht's contribution to the sport (from his Knight, Death, and the Devil, 1513):
  3. *Joke fail: the DC Eagle closed its door during lockdown. I had no idea and am kinda bummed. Such a cool venue. In any event, my bad.
  4. This line-up is like that certain place in Beethoven's Ninth Symphony when we feel that we are floating above the earth in a starry dome, with the dream of immortality in our hearts; all the stars seem to glimmer around us, and then we wake up in Stillwater -- Nietzsche
  5. IDK I saw this guy at the DC Eagle last weekend. If you haven't been, it's a good night. *Warning: If you have kids you should probably scrub your browser history after searching for the directions.
  6. BTW Nice trolling. Kudos.
  7. Old Skool: Shelton pins Dr Death at Bedlam. It was my first dual, and all I remember is Dr. Death's hands and feet wriggling like Gregor underneath a boot.
  8. OSU happened to him: injured; cut too much weight; routinely gave up 2-minute ride-outs; backed up on his feet; couldn't get out of his own head, etc. He was part of that little snowball at the top of the mountain that started rolling and eventually lead to the avalanche of mediocrity that we see today.
  9. Right, but Gilman was an arch-h. This pin was deeply satisfying.
  10. Zola When, however, he noticed Étienne and Catherine at the wicket, he started and became very red, and was opening his mouth to refuse their names; then, he contented himself with the triumph, and a jeer. Ah! ah! so the strong man was thrown? The Company was, then, in luck since the terrible Montsou wrestler had come back to it to ask for bread?
  11. Montaigne And when wrestlers counterfeit the philosophers in patience, ‘tis rather strength of nerves than stoutness of heart. Now to be inured to undergo labour, is to be accustomed to endure pain: “Labor callum obducit dolori.” —Cicero
  12. WS. AS YOU LIKE IT. TOUCHSTONE
