A report from 2021 reveals how the government tried (and failed) to digitize the process for decades. $106 million later, and failing to do so, the government decided to keep the old process. The only way to make money off the data you are so convinced he is collecting (I’m not) is to sell it or use it for advertising. I don’t believe he is interested in selling it, he’s already the richest man in the world. As for advertising, as on X, he’d be better off collecting it from X, where it would more closely correlate to the people who visit the site and see the advertisements, not everybody in the country. It wouldn’t be efficient.
