  1. Can’t argue with any of the above, except that it doesn’t include trippin, yet.
  2. Article II Section 1 The executive Power shall be vested in a President of the United States of America. In Federalist No. 70, Alexander Hamilton argues that "energy in the executive" is essential for good government, as it ensures effective protection against foreign threats, steady law administration, and the safeguarding of liberty. He believes that a strong, unitary executive is necessary for decisive action and accountability, contrasting it with the weaknesses of a plural executive. As James Madison said:

  8. Really good take, but I’d add that Charlie wasn’t really killed for being Charlie, he was killed because they hate Trump, and Charlie had a relationship with, and some part in electing, Trump. It’s like someone said: “They didn’t kill him because he was fascist, or they thought he was fascist, they called him fascist so they could justify killing him.” And the same thing can happen to any of his supporters.
  9. The Constitution is the briefest and most enduring framework of ordered liberty in human history. Its durability lies not merely in the parchment but in the will of a people to respect the boundaries it draws. The Framers understood that no words, however brilliant, could restrain the restless appetite for power unless sustained by a culture of self-government and law. As Roger Kimball observes in this essay, that culture is now breaking down. The Constitution itself is being weaponized, its provisions twisted into instruments of partisan revenge. Such selective enforcement is not a neutral lapse but a central feature of our cold civil war — a struggle between those who seek to preserve the constitutional order and those who would replace it with raw power. Whether the Constitution remains a marvel of liberty or dissolves into mere parchment depends on which side prevails. https://tomklingenstein.com/does-the-constitution-still-matter/

  18. Kash Patel announced it.
  19. I saw a picture of it. It had been sporterized, sccoped, and looked like it might have had a synthetic stock.
