Chittum going to Iowa State makes me wonder about whether Swiderski will transfer out. He already said he's done at 141. Was focusing on redshirting or going 157 next year. After the redshirt year though, there would be a logjam.
Small world.
I am not AUSA or otherwise militarily affiliated. I did always dream of joining a service academy but it didn't work out for me (failed the medical exam because I has recently started taking prescription Aderall from my family doctor. They said they don't take people with ADHD (though it was never even officially diagnosed)
My brother was an Air Force officer and has since left (though they did pay for his medical school which was the main point for him I think)
With Voinovich in Iowa, and my own personal belief that Siebrecht > Chittum, I don't think there is a place for Chittum any longer in the starting lineup at Iowa.
Second place could end up being pretty competitive.
Michigan, Iowa, Ohio State, Virginia Tech, Arizona State, Missouri, Iowa State, Nebraska, NC State, Oklahoma State could all be in the convo
If so that is a strange rule. The institution for which they compete will almost definitely be a primary input into how beneficial they are as a sponsor
I could be wrong but my impression was that boosters offer NIL through their personal local businesses and usually worded in such a way that a departure by the student from the university would amount to the nullification of that contract. Car dealership in Ames can't expect to benefit from marketing with an Athlete based in Ann Arbor, so they would add in some protection in the agreement for the business. Of course the athlete is free to pursue other opportunities in his new location. I don't think the school itself is paying these amounts
