  1. Thanks coach. Good luck this year
  2. Saw a Mike Sees reference in Twitter and hadn't thought about him in ages. He pinned me when I was seven. Please share your stories or appreciation of wrestling legends in this thread. Legend can be defined be each person
  3. Bucknell true freshman Noah Mulvaney takes first at the Clarion open with victories over Isaac Wilcox, Josh Ogunsanya, Cooper Noehre, and Michael Pettite. Watch out for this kid
  4. Angelo Rini over Nick Bouzakis for third and Bassett over Santaniello for 1st.
  5. Didn't Anthony Valencia have a big win over a college guy while still in HS? Might have been FS which may or may not count
  6. Cael Sanderson, Jakob Camacho, and Alex Marinelli
  7. Vinny Santaniello 11-4 over Bouzakis!
  8. Marcus Blaze over Matt Ramos!!!
  9. Top recruit and current redshirt Rocco Welsh is putting it on Brody Baumann of Purdue. Had the tech fall clinched as he locked up a cradle, and got the pin. Welsh looked tough!
  10. Not a huge upset but Cleveland States Dylan Layton takes down Jacob Frost 21-18 (you read that right) in a wild match
  11. Brown Ton losing 8-3 to Gaven Sax wasn't great.
  12. Beginning of the season so wrestlestat isn't exactly accurate, but they pump out upsets on the regular based on their on rankings. Below screenshot shows what we have so far before Sundays matches. Thompson over Hall seems to be the most unexpected. Latona has had a couple of odd early season tournament results in the past (e.g. Pat Phillips), so I don't worry too much about him. Kaylor on the other hand seems to be on a bit of a slide since earning All American a couple years ago.
  13. Maybe the promotion tactics were to paint the locals as bad guys and to subsidize airfare for the opposition
  14. I love watching Caliendo wrestle. I think I actually even like him better than Mesenbrink (I'm talking about who I'd root for - not who I think would win)
  15. ah sorry didn't see this thread
  16. The stadium is actually filled up pretty well and this is part of southern California that is not particularly known for wrestling. Whoever promoted the team and event did a hell of a job
  17. Stanford just shut them out 41-0. This Duke team is REALLLY bad. sad to see
  18. Morton gets an escape to avoid the major. Not bad young man. Keep getting better
  19. Good showing by the Morton brothers here. Older brother, who spent much of his time outside of D1, narrowly loses to Voinovich. True freshman younger brother goes into the third period against Jared Franek only down 4-0. I hate to dwell on silver linings, but they did better than I expected. As I say that, Franek gets another takedown and clinches a riding time point for effectively an 8-0 lead with a minute left in the third
  20. And now Franek will beat up Morton's younger brother
  21. tough ride out for VV3 to win 2-0
  22. Dayne Morton who filled in for Ridge Lovett last year at Nebraska has been holding tight against Victor Voinovich after the first. It's Victor Voinovich the third apparently (lol)
  23. Woods looks like a snake taking a moment to play with a mouse before eating it whole
  24. Darren Green from Wyoming vs Real Woods from Stanford
  25. 18-8 in a score that widened at the end. Griffin needs to wrestle for the full seven (the commentator is saying the same)
